Graveyard Train

Graveyard Train's official bio, located at http://spookyrecords.com/Graveyard%20TrainPressInfo.html: In retrospect it's obvious that horror and country music go together like peas and carrots - it just took Graveyard Train to show us. Utilising old timey instruments (banjos, dobros, washboard) with the unorthodox percussion of hammer & chain, all underneath a six part baritone 'wall of men' vocal delivery, Graveyard Train have created a unique sound and an equally unique way to deliver it.

Artist Type:

Zeptepi

UK born singer/guitarist Phil Dean jumped ship from his homeland in 2000, making for the sunny shores of Melbourne, Australia. A series of archaic pagan rituals went horribly wrong, forcing him to abandon earlier plans of world-domination, and he decided to return to his musical 'career'. The first Zeptepi demos emerged in 2001, but it wasn't until 2004 that a band was recruited, due mainly to a horrific injury to Phil’s sofa which had rendered it uncomfortable.

Brous

Brous (pron. Bruce) is the daring new musical venture by Sophia Brous. The Melbourne based musician has developed a striking sound with the instinct and swagger of a performer well beyond her years. Her band are made up of gifted musicians featuring members of Pikelet, Ned Collette + Wirewalker and Lost Animal. Coming from a second-generation Austrian/Polish migrant family, Brous' early musical experimentation was influenced by a family made up of musicians, sculptors and novelists.

Wagons was initially introduced as the banner under which charismatic singer, guitarist and songwriter Henry Wagons performed his skewed take on country music. Initially accompanied just by drummer and percussionist Mark 'Tuckerbag' Dawson, over time Wagons swelled to include guitarist Richard Blazé, bassist and backing vocalist Steve 'Harmony' Hassett (also an occasional co-songwriter), drummer and washboardist Si 'the Philanthropist' Francis, and most recently keyboardist Matty 'Soft Moods' Hassett.

The Bites

The Bites were a 3-piece band from Melbourne, Australia. They formed in 2001 and dissolved in late 2005. The songs are the most important thing. They are short, sharp, state their point and then they stop. Rhythm and melody are equally crucial in The Bites. The nucleus of The Bites are Kirsty and Rene. Other members have come and gone since the band started in 2001. Their philosophy is one of maintaining true independence and complete artistic control over all aspects of their music.
