Devin Townsend Project begins where Ziltoid the Omniscient left off, with Devin Townsend at the helm. The project is a planned four-album series. Rather than a specific line-up of musicians, as he utilized in The Devin Townsend Band, and rather than performing the entirety of the music himself, as in Ziltoid the Omniscient, the Devin Townsend Project will feature a number of different musicians for each album.
Asleep in the Light was formed in 2010 when members Nico (vocals) and Jolan (Guitar) had the idea to start a band. The music then started coming together as Monty (Bass) and Tim (Drums) were added to the band. Paul (Guitar) was the last member to complete the 5-piece band preparing the way for shows in 2011. The band consists of Lawrence Taylor on Vocals, Mat Welsh on Guitar/Backing Vocals, Sean Long on Guitar/Piano, Aaran McKenzie on Bass and Adam Savage on Drums/Percussion. The band are currently signed with Small Town Records in the UK, Good Fight Music in the US, Shock Entertainment in Australia and Doom Patrol in Japan. WSS play a unique mix of melodic hardcore with strong metal influences.
Shaun Holton isn’t your traditional artist. Essentially a one man band, the 24-year-old from Adelaide (South Australia) formed PROJECTED TWIN in late-2006. After spending his earlier years in bands, it became apparent his frustration in having to please the other members in the band stemmed his growth creatively as an artist. “I had got to a point where I felt like I wasn't really given a proper opportunity to create music without having to worry about 3-4 other people's opinions or artistic flare being trampled on,” said Shaun.
