Barry Adamson

Audio artist Barry Adamson started out as bass player for British punk band Magazine, however, he's since carved more of a name for himself equally for being a founding member of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and also for composing a large chunk of the score of David Lynch's Lost Highway. Adamson's solo work varies heavily between Film Noir and classic to industrial rock, whilst taking in everything in between, making him almost impossible to pigeonhole.

Stitched Vision

Stitched Vision is Jason Campbell, once global roamer now fringe-dwelling citizen of Newcastle, Australia. His pedal-heavy synthscapes are neither nostalgic nor futuristic, but rather channel the current plight of his city of residence, unfolding as explorations of urban decay and cultural regeneration. Understated melodies sheathed in white noise – pitting the organic against the industrial – mark Campbell’s work and come to symbolise Newcastle’s attempts at rejuvenation beyond its steelworks and coal exporting harbour (the largest in the world).

Richard in your mind

In an age where a wah pedal and a couple of beards are enough to get a band labelled 'psychedelic', it's great to see a band doing it properly. Sydney's Richard In Your Mind are just such an outfit. Full of inventiveness and spark, Richard In Your Mind make beguiling, genuinely odd, mind-bending music, the kind as likely to veer off into a hip hop verse as it is an extended sitar workout. Now, four years after starting out, the newly expanded five piece are about to gift us with My Volcano, their keenly awaited second lp.
