Deprivation

Fresh from the country surrounds of Orange NSW, this 5 piece metal band have developed a particular brand of heavy music which has earned them many supports alongside some of the biggest names in Aussie metal.
Their mix of raw unbridled aggression and melodic sensibilities has seen this young band quickly gain industry attention, and most importantly support and praise from their peers.

House of Thumbs

Since forming in 2007 from the ashes of other metal bands Isolar and Leechseed, House of Thumbs has become a fixture of the Melbourne metal scene. The band combines death and thrash metal techniques and vocals with the polyrhythmic patterns and discordant melodies associated with technical death metal, math metal and experimental metal. 2008 saw House of Thumbs release its debut EP, "Strangle Fiction" to some acclaim and on the back of this they toured throughout regional Victoria.

Psycroptic

Psycroptic is a technical death metal band from Hobart, Australia. The band is currently signed to Nuclear Blast and has so far released four full length albums. They formed in 1999 by brothers Dave (drums) and Joe (guitar) Haley who had previously been involved in a band called Disseminate. That group had recorded a demo in 1998 before disbanding. Shortly afterward, the Haleys created Psycroptic with Cameron Grant on bass and vocalist Matthew Chalk, who soon after became a drummer with established local death metal act M.

Depths

There are two bands called "Depths". 1. Hardcore/Punk band from Bielefeld, Germany, formed in 2009.

released in 2010 and quickly earned them tours with well established New Zealand bands. 2011 will see

Blood Duster

Blood Duster are a five piece grind/death/stoner rock band from Melbourne, Australia, known for their fast and heavy musical style. The band are currently enjoying some semi-mainstream success after their self-titled Blood Duster album and an appearance at the annual Big Day Out festival. The band's first offering, Yeest, was a straightforward grindcore album. The follow up album, Str8 Outta Northcote was a southern-flavored stoner rock album. The band's third album, Cunt was a more intense and true-to-its-roots offering, with rhythmic bluesy metal guitars and heavy drumwork.

Cannibal Corpse

Formed in Buffalo, NY in 1988, Cannibal Corpse helped found, manipulate and transcend the very boundaries of metal beginning with the scandalously controversial debut, Eaten Back To Life. Raising the eyebrows of inquisitive metal fans and incensed parents and politicians, the record - produced by Scott Burns at the now renowned Morrisound Studios - was more extreme and confrontational than anything the Death Metal genre had ever known.

Absu

There are 2 bands named Absu. 1. American esoteric black metal band with a sound informed both by thrash and death metal. Formed in Plano, Texas in 1989, the band's name was originally Dolmen but this was soon changed to Absu, drawing thematic influence from middle-eastern and celtic mythology they recorded four albums and an EP from 1993 to 2001. After the release of Tara in 2001 the band was put on hiatus as guitarist and bassist Equitant Ifernain and Shaftiel departed, citing musical differences and disinterest in the band, respectively.

Cerebral Bore

Cerebral Bore are a Death metal band based in Glasgow, Scotland. Although the name was used with different members in 2004, the cerebral bore that exists now wasn't born until 2006. From then, the main focus of the band has been to write brutal music and bring it to metal fans all over the planet.
The Band recorded the E.P. "The Dead Flesh Architect" in November 2006, and played their first show the same month.
