Russian Circles

Russian Circles is a three piece instrumental post-rock/post-metal band from Chicago. The band plays epic, sprawling music which runs the gamut of heavy discordant metal to soft delicate passages. They are also known for their energetic live shows, which include tours with Tool, Red Sparowes, Minus the Bear and Daughters, as well as appearances at the 2006, 2007 & 2008 SXSW festivals. Formed in late 2004 by guitarist Mike Sullivan and bassist Colin DeKuiper (both formerly of another instrumental band Dakota/Dakota), they quickly recruited Dave Turncrantz, formerly of St.

Mary Anne Hobbs

Mary Anne Hobbs (born May 15th, 1964 in Preston, England) is an English DJ and music journalist from Garstang, Lancashire. In the 1980s, at the age of 19, she worked as a journalist for Sounds Magazine. She later went to work for the NME, before going on to help found Loaded Magazine. She got her break in radio at BBC GLR, working alongside Mark Lamarr. She then worked at XFM before going to BBC Radio 1. She also presented the World Superbikes series 2005 for British Eurosport.

Maladroit

Breakcore producer based in Sydney, Australia. Formerly part of the now-defunct System:Corrupt collective. His hardcore influenced breakcore is known for exceeding speeds of 250bpm, a breakcore record. His work samples extensively from pop songs, ska and other electroacoustic genres. However unlike other artists who employ the popmash, he combines songs at breakneck speeds and with little concern for royalties owed to the artists he samples from. Some of his tracks can employ as many as 90 copyright protected songs over a five minute period.
