Everclear

Everclear is a rock band formed in Portland, Oregon, USA, in 1992. For most of its existence, Everclear consisted of Art Alexakis (b. 12 April 1962, Los Angeles, California, USA; vocals, guitar), Craig Montoya (b. 14 September 1970; bass, vocals) and Greg Eklund (b. 18 April 1970; drums). Eklund replaced original drummer Scott Cuthbert in 1994. Montoya and Eklund departed the band in 2003, but Alexakis has continued performing as Everclear with a new lineup.

Birds of Tokyo

It’s no secret that the landscape of Birds of Tokyo’s home of Western Australia; a desert-like state so vast and unforgiving that to provide it with a soundtrack requires a higher level of grandeur and majesty one would ever dare associate with the ‘pop’ music tag. But, down to its bones, pop music is what Birds of Tokyo write… they just layer those bones in muscle, and give the beast a heart.

Lostprophets

Lostprophets is an alternative rock band formed in Pontypridd, Wales in 1997. It was founded by current vocalist Ian Watkins and guitarist Mike Lewis. Initially, Watkins played drums for the band, although its success only began when he transferred over to lead vocals. They have released several demos, none of which have been produced commercially, four studio albums, and thirteen singles. Their latest single "For He's a Jolly Good Felon" was released on the 12th of April. Their 4th studio album "The Betrayed" was released on the 19th of January.

Quiet Child

Quiet Child are a four piece alternative rock band from Adelaide, South Australia, consisting of Paul on drums, Jason on guitar, Pete on vocals and guitar and Brent on bass. Their music ranges from two minute blasts of furious riff filled rock, to long, grandiose epics propelled by major dynamic shifts and melodic and rhythmic complexities. Quiet Child released their self titled debut e.p. in early 2007.

Stone Temple Pilots

Stone Temple Pilots (commonly referred to as "STP") is a Grammy Award-winning American Rock band consisting of Scott Weiland (vocals), brothers Robert DeLeo (bass guitar, vocals) and Dean DeLeo (guitar), and Eric Kretz (drums, percussion). The band was originally active from 1986 to 2003, and reunited in 2008. The band's five studio albums have sold over 17 million copies in the United States alone.

The Lemonheads

The Lemonheads are an American alternative rock band, originally from Boston, Massachusetts, but now based in New York City. The primary (and only consistent) member is Evan Dando.

The band formed in 1986 as an underground punk rock act. Their popularity grew during the following decade with the 1992 album It's A Shame About Ray, which was produced, engineered, and mixed by The Robb Brothers (Bruce Robb, Dee, and Joe), followed by a cover of Simon and Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson", which eventually became one of the band's most successful singles.

Throughout its various incarnations, recording and touring lineups of the band have included co-founders Ben Deily and Jesse Peretz, John Strohm (Blake Babies), Doug Trachten, Corey Loog Brennan, Byron Hoag, Ben Daughtry, Juliana Hatfield (Blake Babies), Nic Dalton (Godstar, Sneeze, The Plunderers), Dave Ryan, Patrick "Murph" Murphy (Dinosaur Jr), Bill Gibson (Eastern Dark), Mark 'Budola' Newman, Kenny Lyon, Vess Ruhtenberg, Devon Ashley, Karl Alvarez and Bill Stevenson (Descendents), P. David Hazel and various others.

Cited as one of the most important alternative rock groups, The Lemonheads were active until 1997 and went on hiatus, but reformed with a new lineup in 2005 and released The Lemonheads in the following year. Shihad

Shihad are a four-piece band from New Zealand, comprising Jon Toogood (guitar/vocals), Tom Larkin (drums), Karl Kippenberger (bass) and Phil Knight (guitar). Their style is best described as "hard rock", although they were described as "metal" in their formative years. Shihad were formed in 1988 in Wellington, New Zealand. They were briefly known between 2002-2004 as "Pacifier". During this time the band was attempting to break into the US market and it was decided that Shihad sounded too much like the arabic word 'jihad', thus the name change. Since forming the band some four years ago, the boys (now all age 18) have excelled in leaps and bounds, playing gigs in pubs and clubs around the coast including the grinning dog (Maroochydore), Billy's Bar (Gympie) and Kawana Hotel.
