Clandestien

Clandestien are a hip hop group hailing from Perth, Western Australia. The group consists of MC's Graphic and Tomohawk, and DJ Mortar. They are part of the Perth hip hop crew Syllabolix, who's artists appear on many tracks. Clandestien are widely known for their raw, abrasive lyrics and beats, and violent often disturbing content; though their songs are often full of political and social messages.

Three piece Metal band from Melbourne Australia. In 1999 they released their EP "Finally" in 2001. They have toured with Stone Sour, Machine Head, Mayhem and Destruction. Performed at Metal for the Brain and have appeared on JTV and Triple J's Full Metal Racket. Their debut album "The Meaning Unseen", released in 2005, was mixed by the famed and respected Fredrik Nordstrom in Sweden. Their melodic death metal style is a mix of the US and Gothenburg sounds with some clean vocals and both chugging riffs and the melodic riffs with good hooks.

Kes Band

Kes Band is a trio from Melbourne: Karl E. Scullin (KES), (of Mum Smokes), and former member of Bird Blobs; Julian Paterson (Minimum Chips, Mum Smokes etc), and Lehmann B. Smith. Two Kes Band albums have been released to date, each features different musicians: Paddy Mann (Grand Salvo), Oliver Mann, Laura Jean, Biddy Connor (Sailor Days), and Nick Veneables (Jessica Says). Two albums - Kes Trio and Kes Band III - are to be released in 2010 following a Japanese tour with Tokyo band My Pal Foot Foot.

A band from Melbourne, Australia, playing a rock/gypsy/circus/caberet style (with lashings of folk/country) that might be likened to Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen crossed with Nick Cave, sprinkled with a bit of Paul Kelly and Marlene Dietrich.

Luluc

Melbourne folk duo Luluc (pronounced Lou-Luke) might be a new name to many but they come packing an impeccable resume. Singer Zoe Randell is perhaps best known for her magical vocal accompaniment to Paddy Mann in the much loved Grand Salvo, while Steve "Harmony" Hassett is the bass player in mythical alt-indie-country dudes Wagons. The duo are about to release their debut Dear Hamlyn in a couple of weeks. Fans of Gillian Welch, Iron and Wine, M Ward, Bon Iver et al take note.The duo also had some help on the record from ex-Sodastream double-bassist Pete Cohen.

Pegz

Tirren Staaf (born 1977), otherwise known as Pegz (or MC Pegasus), is an Australian hip hop artist and producer hailing from Melbourne, Victoria. He is the CEO of Obese Records. The record label responsible for artists such as Hilltop Hoods, Downsyde, and Bias B. Pegz musical career is long and impressive and his impact as an artist is no less impressive than his business achievements. Pegz earliest music influences were his mom's Stevie Wonder records and Polynesian parties with his father. This soulful influence can be heard on his various tracks throughout his releases.

The Sand Pebbles

The Sand Pebbles have released four albums in Australia – Eastern Terrace (2002), Ghost Transmissions (2004), Atlantis Regrets Nothing (2006) and Ceduna (2008) plus an international release, A Thousand Wild Flowers (2009). Formed on Bastille Day, 2001 on the set of Neighbours by three of the show’s screenwriter's Christopher Hollow (bass), Ben Michael (guitar) and Piet Collins (drums). Singer-guitarist Andrew Tanner (ex-Seven Stories) joined shortly after.
