Tripod

There are at least four artists with the name Tripod: 1) Tripod are an Australian comedy band from Melbourne, who are slowly making themselves known elsewhere. They have a small following in the UK and a trickle of fans in the USA. Tripod consists of Scod, Gatesy and Yon. They're well known for their 'Song In An Hour' challenges on Australian radio station Triple J. Once a week they appeared on the morning show with Wil Anderson and Adam Spencer and were given a list of 'ingredients' from the listeners. They would then have only an hour to write a song containing all those ingredients.

Soulfly

Soulfly is a metal band formed in 1997 in Phoenix, Arizona. Led by founder, frontman, songwriter and only constant member Brazilian Max Cavalera, who formed the band after he left influental Brazilian death/thrash band Sepultura in 1996. The band has released seven studio albums, one tour EP, several singles, and two DVD videos. Soulfly incorporates diverse heavy metal styles with Brazilian tribal and world music.

Sevendust

Sevendust is an alternative metal band from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. They formed in late 1994 under the name "Crawlspace" but later were forced to change their name when a group from the West Coast claimed rights to it. They struggled to find a new title but finally settled on Sevendust after bassist Vinnie Hornsby was looking through his grandmother's garage and found a can of plant pesticide called "Sevindust.

Disturbed

There are 2 acts by the name of Disturbed; 1) Well-known nu metal/hard rock band with lead singer David Michael Draiman, formed in 1996, with several albums including The Sickness (Giant/Reprise 2000), Believe (Giant/Reprise 2002), Ten Thousand Fists (Reprise, 2005), Indestructible (Reprise, 2008) and Asylum (Reprise, 2010). 2) Late 80's Thrash band who released the album Disturbing the Peace in 1988; formed by Earl Root in 86/87 and disbanded in 92/93 before his death in 2008.

Segression

Segression was a heavy metal band from Wollongong, Australia. Originally known as Eezee and playing sleaze metal, the group decided to change its name after moving into in a thrash direction in mid-1994. As Eezee, the band had recorded an EP in 1993 and the 1995 album Rise From Darkness. The group had also played support shows with Morbid Angel, Machine Head and Deicide. The line-up at this time was Christiaan Rand (bass, vocals), Chris Sellin (guitar), James Broadbent (guitar) and John Buckley (drums).

Ill Niño

Ill Niño is a band from New Jersey. The band was founded in 1998, they had released a demo EP in that same year with Jorge Rosado on vocals and Cristian Machado playing bass. The EP was entitled El Niño, when they were originally called El Niño, after the weather phenomenon. It wasn't until 1999 that they had officially formalized. After Rosado's return to his band Merauder, the band held auditions for a new vocalist, but ultimately decided that the best decision was for Cristian Machado to step up to vocals.

Korn, occasionally typeset as KoЯn or KoRn, is an American nu metal band from Bakersfield, California, and is often credited with popularizing the nu metal genre. Along with other bands at the time, they have also inspired many mainstream metal bands throughout the mid 1990s and early 2000s. The band's catalogue consists of nine consecutive debuts in the top ten of the Billboard 200, including a compilation album, Greatest Hits Vol.1, and their untitled eighth album, released on July 31, 2007. To date, Korn has sold over 30 million albums worldwide, including 16.

Jeffrey Nothing

Jeff Hatrix aka Jeffrey Nothing's Solo Project which features members of Mushroomhead Steve "Skinny" Felton and ex bassist Joe "Murdernickle" Kilcoyne also Ryan Farrell on guitar. For Live shows it has been said that both Steve and Joe will play select shows then JJ (Haaz) and drummer Doug Nickson will take over on tour.

Linkin Park

Linkin Park is a band from Agoura Hills, California. The band consists of Joe "Mr. Hahn" Hahn, Mike Shinoda, Dave Farrell (a.k.a. Phoenix), Chester Bennington, Brad Delson and Rob Bourdon. Released under the band name "Hybrid Theory", the band's first album, Hybrid Theory EP was released in 1995. Only 1000 copies of this very rare original EP were made. The band's first full studio album, Hybrid Theory, released in 2001, had a huge success, selling 42 million copies worldwide as of October 2009.
