Egon

There are at least four different artists with the name Egon. One of them is the band Egon from Malmö, Sweden. The band plays music that they describe as a mix between fulpop ("ugly pop") and dumsynth ("stupid synth"). Egon released their first album Den Nya Kulan in 2003. The second Egon is the general manager of <a href="http://www.last.fm/label/Stones+Throw" class="bbcode_label">Stones Throw</a> Records. Beginning in 2000 he has overseen the business of the label as well as producing, among others, Stones Throw's The Funky 16 Corners, Stark Reality, and The Third Unheard reissues.

Nas & Damian Marley

Nas & Damian Marley came together to record an album titled Distant Relatives (released May 18, 2010). Distant Relatives is a collaborative studio album by American rapper Nas and Jamaican reggae artist Damian Marley, released May 18, 2010, on Universal Republic and Def Jam Recordings. Production for the album took place during 2008 to 2010 and was handled primarily by Damian Marley and Stephen Marley. Fusing musical elements of hip hop and reggae, Distant Relatives features lyrical themes concerning ancestry, poverty, and the plight of Africa.

Louie Knuxx

“I’m one drink from jail” This line from Auckland emcee Louie Knuxx perfectly sums up the dichotomy of an artist whose music and life balances precariously between ignorance and introspection. Hailing from Aotearoa’s dirt city Louie Knuxx is one of the true journeymen of the local hip hop scene. Azealia Banks

Azealia Amanda Banks is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and actress. Raised in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City, she began releasing music through Myspace in 2008 before being signed to XL Recordings at age 18. In 2011, her debut single "212" went viral and entered several international charts. Banks subsequently signed with Interscope and Polydor Records before later separating in July 2013. Banks ultimately became an independent artist and started her own independent record label, Chaos & Glory Recordings, after multiple negative experiences with previous labels.

Banks has released three mixtapes (Fantasea in 2012, Slay-Z in 2016 and Yung Rapunxel: Pt.II in 2019), one studio album (Broke with Expensive Taste in 2014) and two extended plays (1991 in 2012 and Icy Colors Change in 2018). Her long-delayed second and third studio albums, Fantasea II: The Second Wave and Business & Pleasure, await release. The lead singles from each respective album, "Anna Wintour" and "Black Madonna" were released in April 2018 and June 2020 respectively.

In early 2017, Banks launched her online store, CheapyXO. The site sells spiritual items, artist merchandise from Banks and most notably, original skin-care products. In December 2017, she had her film debut in the musical drama Love Beats Rhymes, receiving positive reviews for her performance as the lead actress in the film.

Throughout her career, Banks' social media presence and outspoken views, especially on U.S. politics and race, have attracted significant controversy, criticism, and media scrutiny. Vents is an Adelaide (Australia) MC on the Obese label. Since his debut on Funkoars' 'Who's your Step Daddy' LP in 2003, Vents has since built monuments in the form of guest verses on Hilltop Hoods' 'Blue Blooded' track, Funkoars' remake of the Juice Crew classic 'The Symphony' and Hospice Crew's 'The Caution'. His album 'Hard To Kill' has been predominantly produced by Trials of Funkoars fame.

Harley Webster (born 1981), better known as Phrase is an Australian hip hop MC, originating from Melbourne, Victoria. Growing up in the suburbs of Melbourne, Phrase’s love of hip hop kicked off in his early teens when he started listening to Ice T, NWA, Ice Cube, and 2Pac. Rizzle Kicks

Technically, Rizzle Kicks was founded in about 1996, when both members, in their miniature form, used to play together, round Rizzle's aunties house. It wasn't until 8 years later when the pair re-found eachother, after both moving to Brighton and joining the local Sunday league, by facing eachother head-on in a football match. 4 years later, they ended up going to the same college, and one day when Rizzle got Sylvester to 'Lalala' all over a track, he then realised that the kind of style Sylvester had fitted in nicely with the sound that was growing.
