Artist Type:

Van She

Formed in the early part of 2005, Van She is a band from Sydney. Unashamedly taking bits and bobs from 80’s post punk, funk and synth pop, 90’s grunge, french house, film scores, 70’s krautrock and the latest collection of innovative artists like Tom Vek and M83, Van She is that unique beast that one was beginning to believe no longer existed – a band that takes all these influences from days gone but makes them sound unique, modern, and…. fresh. A lazy pastiche this isn’t.

Artist Type:

Crystal Castles

Crystal Castles is an experimental electronic band which formed in 2003 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and consists of producer Ethan Kath and vocalist Alice Glass. They are named after the lyrics "The fate of the world is safe in Crystal Castles" and "Crystal Castles, the source of all power" both from the theme song for She-Ra's fortress. They are known for their melancholic lo-fi sound and their explosive live shows. Their debut album was included in NME's "Top 50 Albums of the Decade".

The Melodics

The Melodics are a cross genre band. They mess around with New wave, Synthpop, 2 Tone and Hip-Hop to create some damn fresh flavours... Crowds get down to it; they dance, they sing, they think and they get into Electro-Dionysian trances. Melodics play colourful music for a grey world. They have painted a fluorescent foundation across Australia selling thousands of EP's including The Glen Shnieblic EP and the Nought n' Crosses EP. They have played along side such acts as Dizzee Rascal, Lyrics Born, TZU and Jackson Jackson and have come out crowd favourites at festivals like Woodford.

Sebastian Ingrosso (born Sebastian Carmine Ingrosso) was born on April 20, 1983 and grew up in Sweden. He works closely with his childhood friend, Steve Angello, as well as Axwell in a three person DJ group. Eric Prydz was part of an earlier version of the group, and while they all remain friends, Prydz has left the group to pursue his own projects. Angello, Ingrosso, and Axwell collaborate on many projects, sometimes all together and sometimes with only 2 of the 3 members contributing.

Artist Type:

The Subs

Rambunctious. That's the least you can say about Belgian beatbastards The Subs. Having already released a couple of underground dance maxis - 'You Make Me Spill', 'Fuck That Shit', 'Substracktion' - over the past years, they hit it hard in 2008, with 'Kiss My Trance', a punktrance-juggernaut of a hitsingle.
The track started off as a joke, the band wanted to see how far they could push the limits of the trance-genre and get away with it.
