Laurie Anderson

Laurie Anderson is an American experimental performance artist, visual artist and musician. Regardless of the medium, a common characteristic of all her work seems to be the act of storytelling. Laura Phillips Anderson was born June 5, 1947, in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, United States. She attended Mills College in California, and eventually graduated from Barnard College magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, studying art history. In 1972, she obtained an MFA in sculpture from Columbia University.

Fourcolor

Fourcolor is Keiichi Sugimoto's solo project founded in 1998. Keiichi is one half of the electronica duo Fonica, one quarter of the electro-acoustic group Minamo, and also releases under the alias Filfla. He is the mastermind behind the Tokyo-based label Cubic Music and a producer of soundtracks for the Japanese experimental filmmaker Jun Miyazaki. Parades

Parades are a young art rock band from Sydney who wisely choose to create their own music with no outside input or interference. Featuring Dan Cunningham, Tim Jenkins, Michael Scarpin and Jonathan Boulet – Parades’ debut album Foreign Tapes is out now via Dot Dash Recordings. Letlive originaly hail from Westchester, CA. they describe themselves as progressive/hardcore/soul. singer, Jason Aalon has an alomst falsetto voice offset by heavy metal like riffs and breakdowns. he also screams with such intenstity and urgency not heard by many before. During choruses the whole band sometimes 'chants', sounding like a prosession. their second offering, Speak Like You Talk sees a progression with a healthy balance between their loose-and-reckless moments of intensity and their more subtle and haunting sections with lounging melodies and guitar lines.

Through a landscape of calculated interpretation and embraced accidents Caravans, the second album from Sydney’s Rand and Holland, is just that. Developing out of the home recordings of Brett Thompson, Rand and Holland materialized when those offerings became the basis for 2003’s Tomorrow Will Be Like Today (Preservation).

Caspian

There are two artists with the name Caspian: 1. Caspian is an American instrumental rock band from Beverly, Massachusetts. The band formed in Autumn of 2003 and played their first concert in August of 2004. After releasing their debut EP You Are The Conductor (Dopamine, 2005) in late 2005, the band spent most of 2006 touring The United States and Canada and writing their debut full-length record The Four Trees (Dopamine, 2007). "The Four Trees" was released in the U.S. on April 10, Japan on May 2 and in Europe in July of 2008.

Gail Priest

Gail Priest is a Sydney-based sound artist, writer and curator. She is interested in releasing the hidden melodies and broken beats found in raw sonic material. She manipulates field recordings, random instruments and the tortured voice to create works that explore the fine line between pleasure and pain. Her atmospheric explorations incorporate dirty machinic rhythms and bass-heavy pulsations contrasted with glassy cascades and occasional sweet slippery vocals.
