Big Scary

Tom was a strummer. Jo was a drummer. Tom and Jo jammed in Jo's living room. Tom and Jo had fun and they thought their music was alright. Tom and Jo recorded a few songs, and decided they should be a band called Big Scary, even though it's not very big, or scary. ...Pleased with their efforts with these songs, Tom and Jo decided to record a few more, and make a mini-EP. Tom and Jo then uploaded some of these for your listening and downloading pleasure. The EP as a whole received single of the week in Beat and the band were described as "talented and fearless".

Basement Birds

Basement Birds is an Australian indie supergroup comprised of Kavyen Temperley (Eskimo Joe's frontman and bassist), Steve Parkin (solo singer/songwriter), Kevin Mitchell (musician) (Jebediah, Bob Evans frontman) and solo singer/songwriter Josh Pyke. The groups' mutual love of lush vocal harmonies and alt-country style was the basis for forming the Basement Birds project. "Luckily we all seem to have fairly similar tastes in music, I think it'd be harder if we had someone who was into death metal and another into jazz fusion.

Boy & Bear was four separate bands until they decided to leave their respective collectives and represent one 'a-little-bit-better' band. After performing as Dave Hosking during 2008 the band decided to re-name the project and embrace a new direction and sound of 70's folk rock. Boy & Bear is a Sydney based band built on the collaboration of three front men of separate bands.
