Groundation
Groundation is a Fusion-Reggae band based in Sonoma County, California. It was established in 1998 by Harrison Stafford, Ryan Newman and Marcus Urani upon their meeting at the Jazz program at Sonoma State University. Groundation's music incorporates the lyrical struggle of Roots Reggae, the progressive musicianship of Funk/Jazz fusion, and other-worldly transcendental Dub. The 9-piece band creates an altogether new Reggae sound, featuring swirling horns, stout poly-rhythmics, and soulful harmony vocals.

The following text deals with the progressive rock group: Tabula Rasa was one of the most influencial progressive rock groups of the 1970's in Finland. Little John
b. John McMorris, C. 1970, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. McMorris first recorded with Captain Sinbad for the Youth In Progress label at the tender age of nine, where his piping interjections contrasted neatly with Sinbad's gruff style, and throughout the 80's he was seldom out of the Reggae charts. Claimed by many to be the first Dancehall singer, his ability to fit lyrics over any rhythm or backing track became something of a legend in a business that has scant regard for second takes and "dropping in.
Adrian Sherwood
Adrian Sherwood has been around for a long time. He's the man behind the On-U Sound label, and eponymous sound system. The one that usually does the rounds at least once a year, and has done so for as long as you can remember. If you've ever been to an On-U gig you'll know it's loud, uncompromising, live dub sound, and you'd remember there's lots and lots of noise, as you recall the ringing that's left in your ears for hours after.
The Heatwave
Various acts are (or were) called The Heatwave, including a Dutch sixties freakbeat band. 1. The Heatwave was a sixties freakbeat band from Dordrecht, The Netherlands, who were never given an official record release in the 1960s, but were embraced by mod/beat/psych fans around the globe when Grey Past Recordings released 23 of their re-emerged studio recordings and 4-track demos (1967-1969) on LP (2006) and later a limited issue CD (2010) entitled Honeymelon Teapot.
