Simon Patterson

Simon Patterson the DJ.... is one of the hottest properties in dance music. From being the driving force in the engine rooms of two of the biggest shows on Radio 1, he utilised his finely tuned ear working as the tastemaker behind Seb Fontaine and Judge Jules peak-time Saturday nighters. Drawing on all the knowledge gained, and an unparallel passion for music, he has now thrust himself firmly at the forefront, and is firmly forging his own career as an in-demand DJ, producer and remixer.

The Scientists of Modern Music

TSOMM (for the abbreviation) are a synth bomb, the fallout being incredible tron-pop, beat driven glam-rock fronted by melody making, flesh and blood drones. With deep, rhythmic electric guitar hooks, crispy clean black and white outfits and more vocoders than you can poke an antenna at, these two take their audience on a journey that starts with a ramp and drives through the still clean disco to the fragmenting and decaying sounds of the future.

Catscan

Catscan started producing music a few years ago on his Amiga with Protracker. After sending a demo to ID&T, the A&R manager advised him to buy more professional equipment. One year later Catscan returned with a new demo and ID&T decided to release his first 12" on Thunderdome records. Through ID&T Bart got in contact with DJ Promo and they worked together on a few tracks. After ID&T stopped pressing hardcore records, Catscan joined Promo at the Third Movement. With The Third Movement, Catscan had his own label called: Catscan Limited.

Koan Sound

It's strange how the death of one musical group can be exactly the sort of catalyst needed to spawn another. KOAN Sound are certainly a highly gifted example of this phenomenon. It was in 2008 that KOAN Sound emerged from the ashes of several other musical endeavours, fusing passion for electronic music with sheer musical intuition. Since then KOAN Sound have continued to develop, synthesising ever more complex and inspirational patterns.

Ghostpoet

Recently migrated from the capital city of the West Midlands – Coventry – to the southerly climes of London, Ghostpoet looks set to make his mark on 2011. The softly spoken 24 year-old has already won over BBC Radio 1's foremost tastemaker Gilles Peterson with a handful of off-kilter, loopy electronic ditties blessed with his delightfully rambling musings on modern life.
