Nancy & The Jam Fancys

Nancy and the Jam Fancys are 5 young men from Moruya, 300km south of Sydney, a town known for its granite and oysters. Their band grew out of the boredom of their small town during the plague years.

Their name came from an acid trip vocalist Lewis Griffin shared with two local pigs “Nancy” and “Jam Fancy”. They make music that recalls the halcyon age of Australian punk music, underpinned by one of the more remarkable rock and roll voices in recent times.

They are fresh. Real fresh. So fresh in fact that they are yet to play a show in a capital city.

Their early recordings have seen them support Mini Skirt and Pist Idiots and attracted the attention of Endless Recordings.

Their debut single “Carmen Electra” was recorded at The Drop Studio in Wollongong by Darcy Rosskelly. It brings to mind Birdman or the Celibate Rifles, if somehow those bands had been fronted by an Antipodean Jim Morrison. This won’t be the last time you hear of the boys from Moruya.

After years of talk, they decided it was time for action.

Taking a chunk of punk, throwing in some thrash, a hint of metal, a taste of grunge and sprinkled with pop-rock, ATTR have a unique sound.

Powerful but catchy, Gerard Collins brings the melody on guitar and vocals. Rich Baker cooks up riffs on guitar. Shaun Venables finds the groove on bass, and Matt Naudi delivers power on the drums, and on occasion, vocals.. you'll know it when you hear it.
