When Brisbane folk rock band The Big Brass Bed disbanded in 2006, singer-songwriter Adrian Waters moved into the piano player's house while Browndog went to Japan. Money was tight but there was a guitar, four walls, and a sometime cigarette supply. The songs, when they came, came in fits and bursts, line by line, little by little. And, in a few short months, restricted to writing in the gaps, Waters jagged a couple of contenders, maybe not even two. But the ball had rolled.
