Hailing from country Victoria, the boys began jamming in 2017, and played their debut gig at the Workers Club, in support of legendary Beechworth band CHUGS.
After a couple years of hiatus, and adding a third guitar to the lineup, 2019 saw Raging Moby get back into the swing of live gigs. Playing alongside Freak Fandango, Mantell and "the best band in Brunswick West" The Twistees, the Mobies honed their chops.
Vocalists Liam Hogan and Aidan Pangrazio met at university and have grown together as musicians and songwriters.
Similarly, lead guitarist Anders Muir, bassist Declan Bedford and their ever talented drummer Nick Lorenz have lived in close quarters for years, establishing an innate musical connection.
The Pandemic Era
Raging Moby, like all musicians across the world, came to a grinding halt during the Covid-19 Pandemic. While navigating lockdowns and restrictions, Raging Moby still found time to play gigs in Melbourne and Beechworth.
A sold out show at Tanswells Hotel in Beechworth to launch their debut EP 'Mundane Insanity' was a telling moment for the band to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
A string of gigs around Victoria saw Raging Moby debut new music to sold out crowds at Melbourne's Cherry Bar, and Tanswells again. With regional shows in Wangaratta and Geelong, the band have further extended their musical reach looking forward.
Now, the band are in the process of recording their second EP. You can expect a continuation of disco influenced pysch-rock, but with refined lyricism and bigger guitar solos.
