Like Mac Demarco waking up from a hazy daydream at the beach, we make music that is slowed down, laid back and contemplative. As the second generation of migrant parents. We write from our perspective on life, love, and loss: from the internal conflict of new relationships to the recklessness of youth. Our music ranges from quick catchy sing-a-longs to extended fluid forms - but no matter what we are here to keep your attention. Like a night spent watching a candle slowly drip wax into a puddle, we insist that you listen longer, and think deeper.
Singer/songwriter Tom started writing while holed up for 6 months with a broken leg. Like Jeff from “rear window”, Tom spent his time in isolation sifting through his own thoughts and feelings. The result is “Kettletown” the debut EP from The Kettleheads. Self produced and authentically crafted by the band, we don’t pull any punches, musically or lyrically. Much like Tom’s broken leg we want you to feel the pain but also begin the healing.
