Kxx is a new indie rock band from Ballarat, featuring Kristine Allan on lead vocals/guitar, and has been compared musically to PJ Harvey, The Kills and Queens of The Stone Age. Kristine has played as a singer/songwriter soloist and as a lead guitar instrumentalist in a duo performing in the UK, around Australia and Europe. Dean Richards is on guitar and has played in many bands, such as Whirlywirld featuring Ollie Olsen, and played guitar on the soundtrack for Dogs in Space, on the songs Win/Lose and Rooms For the Memory with Michael Hutchence from INXS. He has co-written songs with Stephen Cummings and had songwriting/publishing contracts with Polygram and EMI, which included song submissions for the Eurythmics and other artists. Peter Allan plays bass and is a songwriter/guitarist from Adelaide and is a seasoned musician. Spike Kiernan is bloody brilliant on drums.
