Gunslingers, bandidos, outlaws and the Wild West. The Counterfeit perform a dynamic collection of Italian soundtracks derived from the greatest Spaghetti Western flicks of the 1960’s and 70’s.
Featuring Ballarat’s most wanted woman ‘Freya Josephine Hollick’ on vocals, the 10-piece posse interprets iconic themes including The Good, the Bad & the Ugly, Ecstasy of Gold and Django, delivering a romantic backdrop for the perfect cinematic showdown.
After sold out shows at Thornbury Theatre, Brunswick Ballroom, Memo Music Hall and Theatre Royal, plus a headlining set at this year's Boogie Festival, the Melbourne posse are running hotter than a 10c pistol.
The band will be releasing their second album titled ‘14 Killer Bullets From The Spaghetti West - Volume 2’ with a show at Theatre Royal Castlemaine on November 25th, and 2 shows at Brunswick Ballroom (matinee + evening) on December 2nd, to launch the record. The infamous John McAll will be joining the posse for all 3 shows to dazzle the crowd during intermission with his blazing set of barrelhouse piano playing.
