Chic (pron. IPA: /ˈʃiːk/, sometimes fully capitalized as CHIC) is an american disco and funk band that was formed in 1976 by guitarist Nile Rodgers and bassist Bernard Edwards. It is best-known for its commercially successful disco songs, including "Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)" (1977), "Everybody Dance" (1977), "Le Freak" (1978), "I Want Your Love" (1978), "Good Times" (1979), and "My Forbidden Lover" (1979).
There are three artists with the name Savage: 1) 80's Italian disco singer Savage 2) a New Zealand rapper, and 3) New Wave Of British Heavy Metal band Savage 4) Hungarian Dj Savage 1) SAVAGE is an artistic pseudonym of Roberto Zanetti (born in 1956) - the composer, vocalist, producer and also businessman all in one person. His debut on the artistic scene took place in the end of '70s. when he was part of the group called Santarosa (one of the most famous track by this group was "Souvenir"). From the early '80s he decided to pursue his solo career.
There are at least 13 bands named Mirage. 1) Mirage released numerous cover version megamixes of current pop hits during the eighties. Many of them were produced by Nigel Wright, sometimes together with Nigel Stock, John Davies & Robin Sellars. Mirage also had three vocalists that posed on the record-covers: Kiki Billy, Nicos Griffiths & Carlos Griffiths. 2) A cult hungarian new/darkwave band from the '80s.
Producer and DJ, Jacques Renault, was a post-punk Washington D.C. native who moved to Chicago in 1997 to continue his studies of viola, but in turn got an education in dance music. Tapping into the well established Drum n' Bass scene, he held a residency at Smart Bar and became a buyer at the legendary Gramaphone Records. This broad, raw exposure to House lead him straight back to the classics of Disco and to it's heart, New York City, where he landed in 2002.
Craig Smith & Graeme Clark have worked together in the studio for almost a decade, producing deep, underground house music and exploring long forgotten funk and dusty disco dubs. Recent studio output has featured on the much sought after L.E.S.S. Productions label aswell as Jisco Music, Instruments Of Rapture and Delusions Of Grandeur.
Their debut album "One Night In The Borough" was released on Delusions of Grandeur in May 2011.
Greg Wilson is an honorary Manc born in Liverpool who is generally acknowledged as the godfather of the early eighties Manc electro scene. He is one of the first British DJ's to have used three turntables. Remembered for his nights at Legend and the Hacienda.
Breakbot aka Thibaut Berland is a French producer and DJ born in 1981. After studying at the School of Graphic Supinfocom, he made short films (with Oury Atlan and Damien Ferrié called Overtime), advertisings and videos (David Hallyday - Satellite, Peter von Poehl - The Story of the Impossible). He is also a CG artist with credits including Arthur and the Invisibles.

The Real Thing, a Liverpool based vocal group, had its origins in the Merseybeat boom of the 1960s. Lead Singer Eddie Amoo was a former band member of The Chants, whose beat singles gathered considerable critical acclaim, although they failed to chart. After continuing to record for various record labels, the band name was eventually dropped. Original members of the group who appeared on opportunity knocks were, Chris Amoo, Kenny Davis (deceased) Dave Smith, Eddie Ankrah, and Ray Lake(deceased) Re-labelled as The Real Thing...
Holy Ghost! is a DJ duo from Brooklyn, NY, formed by Alex Frankel and Nick Millhiser of the now-defunct group Automato. They are currently signed to DFA and have released a 12" single. They also recently received some great promotion when their track Hold On was selected as iTunes Store Free Single of the Week in December 2007. During 2008 the boys have remixed Moby's I Love To Move In Here (Holy Ghost! Remix Edit), MGMT's Of Moons, Birds & Monsters (Holy Ghost remix) and Cut Copy's Hearts on Fire, amongst others, to great success.
