Periphery

Periphery is an American progressive metal band from Bethesda, Maryland, formed in 2005. History
Formation and Lineup Changes (2005 - 2009)
Periphery was formed by guitarist Misha Mansoor in 2005. He slowly gained a reputation on the Internet, primarily via a regularly-updated Soundclick account, Meshuggah and John Petrucci forums, and the sevenstring.org message boards. Before and during Periphery's tenure in the metal scene, Mansoor developed a reputation for doing his own audio production, the majority of which was performed with a home computer and a Pod XT during this period.

Alpine Fault

In February 2005, Auckland-based guitarists Antony Royle and Derek Wu teamed up with South African classical violinist Yvette Van Wyk to form an experimental symphonic metal project called Iraena’s Ashes. Joined in the studio by bassist Kris O’Brien and drummer Robert Bryson, the group recorded two tracks which would signal the beginnings of a new brand of Kiwi Metal.
Later that year, the 5 track ‘Severance’ EP was released by the band now known as ALPINE FAULT.

Severin

1) Severin hailed from Washington, DC. and played shows from 1990-1993. Severin releasing four singles; three on Superbad Records, and one on Sub-Pop. In 1992, the band released their only full-length, "Acid To Ashes, Rust to Dust" on Dischord. Characterized by weaving and dueling guitar melodies puncuated by frenetic rhythms, Severin broke genres with urgent pop hooks and dischordant structures.
2) Séverin is a french artist creating synth-style music. Best known for his album Cheesecake.

Tool

Formed around 1990 in Los Angeles, California, United States, by drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones, vocalist Maynard James Keenan, and original bassist Paul D'Amour, Tool is a band that is most noted for combining industrial rock with a wide variety of progressive structures, irregular time signatures and lyrics that range from angry diatribes to meditations on philosophical and social matters.

Katatonia

Katatonia formed in 1991 in Stockholm, Sweden and was brought together by long time friends, Anders Nyström (aka Blakkheim) and Jonas Renkse (aka Lord Seth). After more than a year of rehearsals and composing, the first real fruits of their labour came to light in mid 1992 with the release of the demo ‘Jhva Elohim Meth’, recorded at Sweden’s Gorysound Studio and produced by the multi-instrumentalist Dan Swanö. The demo sold out immediately, bringing Katatonia to the attention of Dutch label Vic Records, who went on to re-release the demo as a mini CD, titled ‘Jhva Elohim Meth – the Revival’.

James Murphy

There are two musicians named James Murphy.
1) James Murphy (born 1970, raised in Princeton Junction, New Jersey) is a musician, producer, deejay, and co-founder of dance-punk label DFA Records. His most well-known musical project is LCD Soundsystem, who first gained attention with its first single, "Losing My Edge", in 2002 before releasing a self-titled album in February 2005 to critical acclaim and top 20 success in the UK.

www.stryfe.am Stryfe is a female fronted progressive metal band formed in 2003. The music of "Stryfe" includes roots of Armenian national, classic music and different kinds of metal influences filled in with melodious operatic and clean female vocal parts.
Name "Stryfe" came from the word "strife" which means a struggle, a struggle against a human harm, hatred and insidiousness what are sung almost in all songs.

Rise of Avernus

RISE OF AVERNUS are a doom metal five piece from Sydney, Australia. The brainchild of guitarist / vocalist Ben Vanvollenhoven (Ex-STODOWA) and vocalist / keyboardist, Catherine Guirguis (KATABASIS, Ex-BLACK HORIZON), the music is based around the incongruent, yet complimentary combination of Guirguis’ classically inspired piano melodies and Vanvollenhoven’s monolithic riffs. Through their duelling vocal personas, Guirguis and Vanvollenhoven explore dark, poignant themes with impassioned arrangements and a unique down tempo theatricality.

There are 17 artists with this name. 1) Seven is a Dubstep artist from the UK. Introduced by DJ Youngsta, Seven arrived on the Dubstep scene about a year and a half ago. With music already signed to Tempa, Aquatic Lab, Subway and Wheel & Deal, things are certainly shaping up for this new mysterious artist, that no one seems to know much about. He has already attracted the attention of most of Dubsteps A-list dj's, of which he is gaining massive support and airplay. Seven is already taking DJ bookings and playing sets worldwide, just from dubplate exposure.
