Hailing from Brisbane (Australia), Nefaria is the epic hard hitting metal result of years of hard work and musical dedication. Following the demise of previous projects, guitarist Pete and bass player Brett continued to work on writing and sharpening their existing material. The search began for like-minded musos to start a new project and with the arrival of Adam on drums and Dave (aka Neckbeard) on vocals, Nefaria was born.

Combining the morphing basslines of Drum and Bass, the aggressive energy of Metal, and the laid back vibes of hip hop, Excision's style is incomparable.
At only 22, this young Canadian's passion for music has already driven him to become one of the biggest Dubstep acts of North America, along with DatsiK. Anyone who has heard a set by this bad boy has walked away feeling energized and refreshed.

As time went on, the project became more serious, and in mid 2008, the line-up as it is today was completed. They've been playing gigs around Melbourne since mid 2009, and have shared the stage with other local talents Be'lakor, Arbrynth, Rainshadow and Wood of Suicides. Their music is melodic death / doom metal rooted in progressive rock, with melancholic overtones; and dark, subtle nuances.
