Daniel Lee Kendall

"Daniel Lee Kendall (DLK) did not plan for this. But it is the unexpected beginning to this story that is characteristic of DLK’s understated allure. It is quite simple really; after an evening spent drinking wine and enjoying the company of fine friends and fine musicians alike, Daniel penned a song. After lengthy toils in the seclusion of DLK studios (his bedroom) the best and only thing there was to do was share. Share with friends and strangers alike, these songs of hope and heartbreak. Listeners; prepare to be mesmerised, and taken on a very special journey indeed.

Khancoban

Half noise, half folk - khancoban’s songs deploy in low-gravity and with a dash of grit. They are performed calmly, utilising calculated space and tension, exploding at key points that leave the band’s filament still burning in their wake. The name khancoban is a hijacked car from a country town in the Snowy Mountains … its AM radio spilling out tunes by the likes of Wilco, Kingsbury Manx, The Clientele and Calexico – bands both influential and with kindred music. This is a band of vast sound riddled with hideaway nooks. Now in your city, that stolen car is all khancoban’s own. Get in.

Steve Forde

Steve Forde was born in the regional farming centre of Cowra in 1977. His parents were battlers with a dream of one day rising from the dust and hard work they endured to owning their own property and sinking deep, long-lasting roots. It was to this end that young Steve spent most of his early childhood moving from town to town across NSW with his family. Where there was good work to be had, that's where the family would go. It was in these early years that simple life philosophies were deeply ingrained into this young man.
