Mount Kimbie

Dominic Maker and Kai Campos met at university and began making music together in a home studio in Peckham. The duo have developed a truly unique sound whose experimental rhythms lend themselves to the fringes of dubstep, wonky and hip hop, but ooze with emotion and echoing ambient soundscapes that take the listener to an entirely different place. Their EP, released on Hotflush Recordings, has already been well received, with support from pioneering DJs including Mary Anne Hobbs, Scuba, Rob Booth and Ramadanman

Zulu Winter

http://therecommender.net/2011/09/22/zulu-winter/
We’re all aware of the term ‘buzz band’, right? It’s something applied to emerging artists who are riding the (usually online) cultural chatter, the ‘band of the moment’ if you will. It’s obviously a horrific title to apply to any new band, as although it suggests excitement among the taste-makers, it’s likely to burn bright, but ultimately burn out as fast as it arrived. It’s temporary. It’s brief. It’s deadly and no bands want their hard work to be labelled as something that’s so instantly due for rapid decline.

Jónsi

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Jón Þór Birgisson, aka Jónsi, is the guitarist and vocalist for the Icelandic band Sigur Rós. He is universally known for his soft inimitable falsetto voice. He has also released an album as one half of Jónsi & Alex with his boyfriend Alex Somers, formerly of the band Parachutes. In his solo venture Jónsi departs from the ethereal, dreamy landscapes present in Sigur Rós' music and instead concentrates on shorter, more instant 'portrait' tunes.

Anime Fire

Born out of the southern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia in the Autumn of 2005, Anime Fire is a brooding combination of hardcore and electronic influences that have melted together to produce a sound and style that is dark, melodic, energized and emotional in its execution. The 4-piece delivers a new interpretation of melodic hardcore, when fused with modern metal and break beat electronica to create something all to their own. This is an act that is not afraid to push the boundaries both in the studio and with their live show.
