Created in 1998 in Los Angeles, California, United States by actor Jared Leto and his brother, Shannon, 30 Seconds to Mars initially began as a small family project. Matt Wachter later joined the band as bassist and keyboard player. After working with a number of guitarists (including Kevin Drake and Solon Bixler), the three auditioned Tomo Miličević to round out the band's official roster. After Wachter's departure from the band in 2006, the Leto brothers and Miličević continue on as a trio with additional touring members, including Tim Kelleher on bass.

Pierce the Veil, formerly known as Before Today, are a post-hardcore band from San Diego, California. Pierce the Veil were formed in the fall of 1998 under the name Early Times. After recording an EP titled Roots Beneath Ideals, they signed to Equal Vision. Due to copyright issues, the band released their next album, A Celebration of An Ending, under the name Before Today, which was taken from the title of a song off No Turning Back, an EP released under Early Times.
A Farewell Momento are a metalcore band from Brisbane, Australia. AFM officially formed in early 2009 as a 6 piece but have since undergone a handful of personnel changes and have cut their numbers down to 5. They are a notable member of the burgeoning Brisbane hardcore scene having played shows with the likes of Armada in the Dusk, Rise for November, Burn Down Hollywood, This City Ignites and Headwound the Pony.
A Skylit Drive is a six-piece post-hardcore band from Lodi/Galt California. They released their first EP, titled She Watched The Sky, with Tragic Hero Records in January 2007 and the follow-up full length album Wires... And the Concept of Breathing on May 20, 2008. Emery is a post-hardcore/rock band currently signed to Tooth & Nail Records. They have performed at the Cornerstone Festival in Bushnell, Illinois, and they have performed on the Warped Tour lineup, they also accompanied Underoath on their Australian tour in June 2007. They were also featured at Spirit West Coast's "Rock the Park" festival in Chino, California. Emery was formed in 2001 in Rock Hill, South Carolina when four recent college graduates decided to pursue music full-time.

Circa Survive is an alternative rock band consisting of former Saosin vocalist Anthony Green and members of the now-defunct This Day Forward, including guitarists Brendan Ekstrom and Colin Frangicetto. Compared to the sound of Green's former group, the music of Circa Survive taps a different musical influence for Green, who cites Paul Simon, Dredg, and Björk among later artists who have more influence on his vocal stylings in Circa Survive which are comparatively less aggressive, as well as his songwriting.
