Stoner Rock

By taking the low end guitar heavy elements of stoner rock and merging it with a keen ear for a catchy hook Don Fernando are showing that heavy music can be combined with a pop sensibility to create something unique and exciting, the music is heavy, the guitars are about as loud as you could possibly imagine and their gigs will leave you planted firmly on your arse while humming their melodies and lamenting lost love.

We are the loudest and greatest band in the history, of the history of the world. We rock so hard it sometimes kills unicorns. The size of the rock that we produce transcends what the human and animal brain can take in. The bowels empty, the cerebral cortex shuts down. To be truly MAMMOTH, both sonically and visually, each member is united in their willingness to bleed, bleed from the fingers, bleeds from the face and bleed from the goat bag.

Although deriving influence from 70s <a href="http://www.last.fm/tag/hard%20rock" class="bbcode_tag" rel="tag">hard rock</a>, Kyuss churned out a unique sound. This was primarily because guitarist <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Josh+Homme" class="bbcode_artist">Josh Homme</a> often tuned to a low C, a major third below standard pitch, but also singer <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/John+Garcia" class="bbcode_artist">John Garcia</a>'s paint stripping vocals. The band was originally formed in 1989 in Palm Desert, California under the name "Sons of Kyuss". They took the name from a monster in Dungeons and Dragons.

1) iOTA is an Australian musician making his name not only in music, but on stage. He arrived on the music scene in 1999 with his debut album "The Hip Bone Connection". Since then he has had two ARIA Award nominations and gone on to release three more albums and a renowned EP "Little Carlos". In 2006 iOTA took to the stage as Hedwig Robinson, the lead of the cult musical Hedwig & the Angry Inch.
