Midge Ure

Midge Ure OBE (born James Ure on October 10, 1953 in Cambuslang, Lanarkshire, Scotland) is a rock and roll guitarist, singer and songwriter from Scotland, who had particular success in the 1970s and 1980s. His stage name, Midge, is a phonetic reversal of his real name, Jim. Beginning his career with bubblegum pop-rock band Slik, he would go on to play in The Rich Kids and temporarily for Thin Lizzy before replacing John Foxx as singer of electronic new wave band Ultravox in 1979. Shortly afterwards, they had a huge UK hit with "Vienna", and became one of Britain's top bands for several years.

Chasing Bailey

The first single off Chasing Bailey’s debut album, Long Story Short, is called Little By Little. The song itself might be about a troubled relationship, but its title neatly sums up the determination of this young band. For while each member is still only in their late teens to early-twenties, Chasing Bailey’s dream of recording their first full-length album began all the way back in the year 2000. And now, with the release of Long Story Short, it’s finally come true.

Classic Clapton

CLASSIC CLAPTON the World's No1 Eric Clapton Tribute Band featuring front-man Mike Hall are undertaking a 25th Anniversary Tour throughout the UK during 2010. The tour culminates with a special Anniversary Concert at Newcastle City Hall on 11 December 2010. The band was formed in 1985 in Newcastle upon Tyne long before the term “tribute band” was invented, and named themselves ''After Midnight'' after Eric Clapton’s first solo hit.

Polygon Palace

Polygon Palace formed after a chance encounter between recreational time-traveller Adam Ferns and future-street-tough Gabriel Crossan, at The Polygon Palace Of Time Adventure ($5 Wednesdays), when both decided to go for the 'Super Saver Spin'. Several random eras and misadventures later, they placed their arms outside the ride and crash-landed in Melbourne in the early 21st century. Determined to raise enough money for a ticket home, they formed a band, harnessing the medium of popular song to share their experiences of vampire-hunting robots...

They Said It...

Gemma Pike (triple j)
"QOTSA-eqsue with an über rock break down. Looking forward to more."

Jaymz Clements (Editor - triple j magazine)
"KINGSWOOD are the perfect blend of rip-snorting, muscular rock that claims Josh Homme as its patron saint, and melodic stoner punk – Yeah Go Die is a sublime, brawny rush and should see them stomping all over the pansy-tight jeaned poseur jerks who've somehow appropriated rock'n'roll from its sweaty, kick-arse origins."

Rosie Beaton (triple j)
"Rock on KINGSWOOD! Yeah Go Die is a pumping tune, whip lashing indeed and very stoner-rock."

Nathan Wood (V-Music)
"KINGSWOOD's Yeah Go Die is a stripped down, no bullshit punch in the face of everything that's rock. There's no computers, no synths, no production tricks – just a bunch of dudes playing their instruments hard, fast and loud. If you want to take your shirt off, let your gut hang out, pound a beer and blow an ear drum, then get this, load up and let loose."
