Sophie Ellis-Bextor

Sophie Michelle Ellis-Bextor (born 10 April 1979) is an English singer, songwriter and model. She first came to prominence in the late 1990s, as the lead singer of the indie rock band theaudience. After the group disbanded, Ellis-Bextor went solo, achieving widespread success in the early 2000s. Her music is a mixture of mainstream pop, disco, nu-disco, and 1980s electronic influences.
Ellis-Bextor has released four solo albums: Read My Lips, Shoot from the Hip, Trip the Light Fantastic, and the recent Make a Scene, which was released on April 18, 2011.

I Am Kloot

I Am Kloot are a band formed in Manchester, England in 1999 by John Bramwell (guitar/vocals), Peter Jobson (bass) and Andy Hargreaves (drums), notable for their twisted, witty lyrics. Their Debut single To You on Ugly Man Records was produced by and featured backing vocals by Guy Garvey, lead singer of Еlbow. Debut album Natural History was released in the United Kingdom in March 2001 on Wall of Sound offshoot We Love You, followed by I Am Kloot in September 2003 on the Echo label.

Gomez

There are two bands under the same name:
1) A British indie rock band
2) An American emo band active in the early 90's 1) Gomez are an English indie rock band. Their first album, Bring It On, won the Mercury Music Prize in 1998. The genesis of Gomez was the meeting of four friends from Southport. Guitarist and vocalist Ian Ball and drummer Olly Peacock had previously played together in a local heavy metal band called Severed.

Frank Turner

Frank Turner is a burgeoning solo artist based in the United Kingdom. He has toured the UK extensively and gone on a few forays into Central and Eastern Europe since the demise of his former band Million Dead. Frank Turner started solo acoustic shows prior to Million Dead's break up. The first official performance was at the first Small Town America all dayer at 93 Feet East on September 18th 2004. The solo performances were, in a sense, a sideline to Million Dead.

Bennet

Bennet formed in the summer of 1993 in Reading. They spent their days writing, rehearsing and playing gigs. Having finally found their "sound", they signed a deal with Roadrunner Records in 1995. Debut single "If You Met Me, Then You'd Like Me" is released in the UK in March 1996, which charted in the Independent Top 10. In May `96 their second single, "Colossal Man" again charted and saw the band touring with the likes of Number One Cup, Pusherman and Supermodel. Bennet was also approached by the Fierce Panda label to do a joint single with Bis and Number One Cup.

We Are The Ocean

We Are The Ocean is an English post-hardcore band from Loughton, Essex. The band formed in 2007 and have since toured with such bands as The Used, Lostprophets, Underoath, Thrice, Funeral for a Friend, Fightstar and You Me At Six. The band blend many different styles but most recently have drifted away from post-hardcore towards a softer rock sound, with Dan's screams replaced with a more gravelly singing style and more emphasis placed on choruses and hooks.

Bad Manners are an English 2-Tone Ska band fronted by Buster Bloodvessel (born Douglas Trendle, 6 September 1958, in the borough of Hackney), and formed in 1976 at Woodberry Down Comprehensive School, North London, where the members studied. None of the eight members played any instrument.

There are two bands with the name The Charlatans.

Bloc Party

Bloc Party are an English alternative rock band. In 2005, the band released their critically acclaimed debut album Silent Alarm. Their second studio album, A Weekend In The City was released on February 5, 2007 in the United Kingdom and February 6 in the United States. A third album, Intimacy, was released in August 2008 as a download and later as a CD release on October 27. The band consists of Kele Okereke (vocals, guitar), Russell Lissack (guitar), Gordon Moakes (bass, vocals) and Matt Tong (drums).
