The Black Angels

The Black Angels are a psychedelic rock band from Austin, Texas, formed in May 2004. Their name derives from the Velvet Underground song "The Black Angel's Death Song". Hannah Levin's review of the Black Angels album, Passover, described them as "Walking in the shadows cast by Spacemen 3 and Spiritualized mastermind Jason Pierce" and compared them to The Warlocks and Black Mountain, also invoking "dirges" reminiscent of both The Velvet Underground and the 13th Floor Elevators. The band's icon is a stylized image of Nico.

Hey Rosetta! is a six member group from St. John's, Newfoundland. The group was formed in 2005 by front man Tim Baker. The group consists of: Tim Baker (Vocals, Guitar, Piano)

The Vagrant City Scandal burst onto the music scene in early 2007, with a rock n roll energy, the likes of which has rarely been seen. Expatriate

Expatriate is a Sydney-based band consisting of Ben King (vocals, guitar), Chris Kollias (drums), Damian Press (keyboard, guitar, sound engineer) and Dave Molland (bass). Expatriate derive their name from the collective experiences of their youth. Front man Ben King grew up in the midst of Jakarta, behind the walls of a United Nations meets ‘Dazed and Confused’ international school - he was living the contradiction of isolation in a big city.

Modest Mouse

Modest Mouse is an American rock band. The band was formed in 1993 in Issaquah, Washington, United States by guitarist Isaac Brock, drummer Jeremiah Green and bassist Eric Judy. Since being signed to Sony's Epic Records in 2000, Modest Mouse has attained significant popular success with songs such as "Float On" and "Dashboard." The band's current configuration is Isaac Brock (vocals, guitar), Tom Peloso (strings, horns, bass, keyboards), Eric Judy (bass), Jeremiah Green (drums) and Joe Plummer (drums).

Operator Please

Operator Please is a baroque pop band from Gold Coast, Australia that formed in early 2005 and their current line up consists of vocalist and guitarist Amandah Wilkinson, drummer Tim Commandeur, keyboardist Chris Holland, bassist Ashley McConnell, and violinist Taylor Henderson. Original keyboardist Sarah Gardiner left in April of 2008. Their adventure began when Elanora High School was holding its annual Battle of the Bands competition. Discovered through their MySpace profile, Operator Please is currently signed to Virgin/EMI for Australia and New Zealand and Brille in the United Kingdom.

Girls

There are at least three bands called Girls. 1) In 2006, Christopher Owens and Liza Thorn began a music project called Curls, which dissolved itself when Liza decided to focus more on her new band, BRIDEZ. Not to be dissuaded, Christopher recruited San Francisco's infamous ladykiller Chet "JR" White to join him and changed the band's name to Girls. Chris was formerly a member of Holy Shit with Ariel Pink.

Sons and Daughters

Last.fm is listing two groups under this name. 1. Sons and Daughters are an indie rock band which formed in 2001 in Glasgow, Scotland. The band consists of Adele Bethel (vocals, guitar), Scott Paterson (vocals, guitar), Ailidh Lennon (bass, keyboards, mandolin) and David Gow (drums). The band has released three albums: "The Repulsion Box" (2005),"This Gift" (2008) and "Mirror Mirror" (2011). Their third album, "Mirror Mirror" - was released on Domino on June 13th- via a short trailer directed by long time collaborator Blair Young.
