S-BAHN

Singer and accordionist Richard Tyce founded the S-Bahn Band in Vancouver in the early 90’s. With diverse and eclectic repertoire, the S-Bahn rocks Oktoberfests and all kinds of parties. Highlights include “Fall Crawls” where S-Bahn tours the Oktoberfest circuit – including the popular Leavenworth Washington, Mt. Angel Oregon Oktoberfests and the New Braunfels TX Wurstfest. Why the name “S-Bahn”? S-Bahn is the commuter train that connects cities in Germany with their suburbs. S-Bahn connects people – brings them together.

The Pink Stones

The Pink Stones deliver a full serving of Peach State picked country-rock from Athens, Georgia with the release of their debut album, Introducing… The Pink Stones, via the New West Records imprint Normaltown Records. Mixing elements of classic cosmic country, raucous rock’n’roll and fresh humor and heartaches, The Pink Stones are authoring a new chapter in the annals of Cosmic American Music.

The journey to the Pink Stones debut album began in 2015, when freshman college-student and then punk rocker Hunter Pinkston bought a special single by one of his favorite bands. “It was the song ‘Brass Buttons,’ Pinkston says. “One side was The Lemonheads and the other was Gram Parsons’ original version. I bought it because I was a Lemonheads fan, but I flipped it over and that was the one of the first times I’d heard Gram Parsons. I was like, ‘Oh shit! I didn't know I liked country until right now.’”

Inspired by his discovery, Pinkston not only began tracking down and listening to Parsons’ catalog, but took the well-travel music fan path of seeking out similar artists and influences. It was actually a landscape he’d seen before but paid little attention to.

“When I was a kid my mom liked country music but my dad was totally a rocker,” Pinkston says. “They would constantly be switching the radio. I was definitely with my dad and had discounted country forever. Then it caught up with me and I became pretty much obsessed with it.”

Bassist/singer Eddie Spaghetti (real name Edward Daly) leads the band and is its only constant member. Their current lineup also includes guitarist Marty Chandler and drummer Christopher von Streicher. Their most recent album, Play That Rock N' Roll, was released in February 2020.

Jeff Duff

In a flamboyant and often controversial music career Jeff Duff has released twenty-seven albums including a recent album with members of legendary British rock band Deep Purple.
When Duffo took refuge in England in the eighties, he had, as they say, worn out his welcome in Australian rock. He was simply too much of a handful, this ‘waif with a wharfie’s voice!’ camping it up out front of his trail-blazing rock ensemble ‘Kush‘. At the time, Jeff’s androgynous stage persona, dressed in leotards, garish make-up and a touch of the operatics was considered far too outrageous for many Australian audiences.

Jeff quickly established himself in the UK and became the darling of London’s new wave movement during the eighties staying one step ahead of his peers with his flamboyant performances. The exhibitionism and visual assault so integral to British punk culture could have been a sequence from Duffo’s own fertile imagination. Soon Andy Warhol was issuing forth his oft-quoted utterence: “Sinatra, Presley, Jagger, Popeye…and now Duffo” Duffo returned to Australia in the late eighties to re-introduce his powerful voice and unique style to the local scene. His recording and accompanying video of Lou Reed’s ‘Walk on the Wildside‘ helped re-establish his career in oz and has become an Australian classic.
