Crooked Still

Crooked Still is a self-styled alternative bluegrass band consisting of vocalist Aoife O'Donovan, cellist Tristan Clarridge, fiddler Brittany Haas, banjo player Dr. Gregory Liszt, and bassist Corey DiMario. They are known for their high energy, technical skill, unique instrumentation and innovative acoustic style. O'Donovan and DiMario met at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts in spring of 2001. Former cellist Rushad Eggleston, who was studying at Berklee College of Music, and Liszt, a graduate student at MIT, were playing music together around the same time.

The Whitetop Mountaineers

The Whitetop Mountaineers is made up of Martha Spencer and Jackson Cunningham from the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. They are both members of the Whitetop Mountain Band. As a duet act, Martha and Jackson have toured across the United States and abroad (Ireland, Wales, Scotland, England and Australia) playing concerts, festivals, workshops, and dances. Their shows consist of old timey country harmony singing, bluesy mandolin/guitar, old time fiddle/clawhammer banjo tunes, and flatfoot dancing.

Jim Lauderdale

JIm Lauderdale is a Nashville showman in the grand tradition. He's also one of the city's finest songwriters, as the Dixie Chicks, Patty Loveless, Mark Chestnut, Vince Gill and George Strait will be glad to attest. Beyond Music Row, Lauderdale is well known in bluegrass and jamband circles. He recorded two albums with the legendary Ralph Stanley, one with Donna the Buffalo and he collaborated with Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter on <i>Headed for the Hills</i>, his 2004 release on Dualtone Records.
