De La Soul

De La Soul is a massively influential hip hop group, hailing from Amityville, New York, United States. They are best known for their eclectic sampling and quirky, surreal lyrics, and their contributions to the evolution of the jazz hop subgenre. They are the best known of the early alternative hip-hop acts. The members are Kelvin Mercer (Posdnuos, Mercenary, Plug Wonder Why, Plug One), David Jude Jolicœur (Trugoy the Dove, Dave, Plug Two) and Vincent Mason (Pasemaster Mase, Maseo, Plug Three).

Katalyst

There are more than one artists by this name. 1.Katalyst (Ashley Anderson) is a one of Australia's leading Producers. Working out of Sydney, Katalyst received the prestigious 'Best Producer' award at the Australian Dance Music Awards in 2002. Before embarking on a solo career, Ashley Anderson's previous work has included an album with producer Illpickl. Under the name of Moonrock, the two producers released a self titled album in 1998. Tracks from this self titled album featured on many compilation albums during the late '90s. This then served as a launching pad for Ashley's solo career.

Rapture Ruckus

Rapture Ruckus is a Christian hip hop group from Wellington, New Zealand, currently signed to Tooth & Nail and Parachute Records. Formed in 2001, the group currently consists of rapper Brad Dring, DJ Soane Tonga, guitarist Geoff Duncan and drummer Gio Lesa. Their first album, the self titled Rapture Ruckus, was released in 2002 and gained a large underground following. Then followed the Limited Edition EP in 2005, and their second studio album I Believe in 2006, which won the 2006 Gospel Album of the Year at the New Zealand Music Awards.

Wax Tailor

Wax Tailor is the trip hop/hip hop producer Jean-Christophe Le Saoût from Paris, France.
After two EP's, he released his first album Tales of the Forgotten Melodies in March 2005, mixing hip-hop, downtempo and trip-hop, and a second, Hope & Sorrow in April 2007. After being a host on a French radio in the Paris suburb of Mantes-La-Jolie, JC Le Saoût started the French Rap band La Formule in the 1990's. He created his label Lab'Oratoire in 1998 and produced records from La Formule as well as Break Beat compilations and a collaboration with the Swedish band Looptroop.

Sleepwalker

Sleepwalker is a technical/progressive death metal band out of New England. Formed originally by guitarist Jonathan Wagner with other members, now they are reformed, with drummer Mike St. Onge, they are beginning to work on their debut ep this fall, and are still looking for a guitarist, bassist, and vocalist. Blackalicious

Gift Of Gab (Tim Parker) and Chief Xcel (Xavier Mosley) met at John F. Kennedy High School in 1987 in Sacramento, California and formed the group in the early 1990s. They released their first recording, "Swan Lake", on solesides records. The Solesides Crew consisted of the duo. as well as other friends of theirs they had met at University of California - Davis, including DJ Shadow, Lyrics Born and Lateef The Truth Speaker. The single was an underground hit, but label trouble prevented the duo from immediately capitalizing on their fame.

DeAndre Cortez Way (born July 28, 1990 in Chicago, Illinois), better known by his stage name Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em or simply Soulja Boy, is a Grammy nominated rapper, dancer and producer. He shot to fame in September 2007, when his single “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” reached number one on the Billboard Top 100. He released his debut album, Unsigned & Still Major: Da Album Before da Album in 2007 and followed this with 2007’s souljaboytellem.com and 2008’s iSouljaBoyTellem. His fourth studio album, The DeAndre Way, will be released on October 16. 2010

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) ZEUS was founded in 2003 by singer/actor/presenter/comedian Jeroen van Koningsbrugge, drummer Paul Jansen and guitarist Roy Jansen. Soon after, bass player Bob Gerritsen completed the band. The objective was clear and simple: to make heavy, groovy rock music the way it was meant since 1969. Influenced by Black Label Society, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Karma to Burn, Transport League, Goatsnake and the wave of nineties grunge and stoner, ZEUS developed their sound.
