Les Savy Fav is an indie rock band which formed in Providence, Rhode Island, United States in 1995, where the members were attending the Rhode Island School of Design. The band moved to Brooklyn, New York shortly after graduating. The band consists of Tim Harrington (vocals), Seth Jabour (guitar), Andrew Reuland (guitar), Syd Butler (bass) and Harrison Haynes (drums). My Disco is a musical collaboration between Liam Andrews (bass, vocals), Rohan Rebeiro (drums) and Ben Andrews (guitar) that formed in Melbourne, Australia in 2003. Named after a Big Black song, the band contains member of the former Clann Zú, Days Of Iris and Heartfeltself. In 2003, My Disco performed their first shows in small venues in and around Melbourne, including many 2 PM all-ages house shows. Late 2003 saw the release of their debut 7", and marked their first Australian tour.
This Town Needs Guns, (sometimes shortened to "TTNG") are a math rock band originating from Oxford in the United Kingdom. They were formed in 2004, and are currently signed to Sargent House (USA) and Zankyo (JP). Their debut full length album, Animals, was released in UK via Big Scary Monsters Recording Company in October 2008 and shortly after in the US via Sargent House Records. The line-up changed in June 2011. Stu Smith left the band to become a father, and he was replaced by Henry Tremain (Pennines).
We are a band from Brisbane, Australia We have a cd-ep, split 7" and a 12" and have 11 songs to record in the second week of may this year (2010). Influences were much more solid in the beginning and although we are still very much inline with them we now listen to absolutely anything we can get our hands on. There are several bands named 'Tabula Rasa': a Finnish progressive rock group, a math rock band, a medieval band, a Greek punk band which was active in the 90's, a reggae band from Poland, an acoustic/folk band from Birmingham, UK and a funk-rock band from Solothurn, Switzerland. The following text deals with the progressive rock group: Tabula Rasa was one of the most influencial progressive rock groups of the 1970's in Finland. Tabula Rasa was formed in Kangasala, Finland, in 1972.
Lopaka is a super-groovy bunch of dudes from the ex-band, My Cat Drinks Tap Water, who wanted to make math music. Their original attempts at such were futile and full of short comings.
As such, the 3 young men attempting this feat parted ways briefly to each undergo their own spiritually revealing journey. On said journeys, the men discovered the root of their being and unlocked the infinite potential of their creativity and understanding of their surroundings.
