Kimbra, born and bred in Hamilton, New Zealand has been writing a fusion of jazz and soul for over 5 years, known for her erratic but graceful voice inspired by the likes of Amy Winehouse, Bjork and Jeff Buckley. Kimbra's first success was in 2004, recieving Second place in the Smokefree Rockquest along with Best Vocals and Womens Musicianship (gaining $7000 in total from the competition raising artists like Brooke Fraser, Bic Runga and Anika Moa).

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (born March 28, 1986), who performs under the stage name Lady Gaga, is a singer, songwriter and musician from New York City, New York, United States. Before Gaga adopted her stage name she was in a band called Stefani Germanotta Band. She released her first EP, "Red and Blue", in early 2006. The following year, music producer Rob Fusari dubbed her Lady Gaga, inspired by the Queen song "Radio Gaga". Laura Jean has been gracing Australian stages for many years. Invitations to share them have come from overseas artists such as Mark Kozelek (ex-Red House Painters) Richard Buckner, M. Ward, Faun Fables, Tuck and Patti, and Australian acts like Augie March, Ben Lee, Claire Bowditch, Machine Translations, Gaslight Radio, and Sarah Blasko. Her first E.P, 'The Hunter's Ode' (2003) was embraced by community radio and street press across the country, as well as Triple J. The title track is apparently still sometimes heard late at night.

VersaEmerge was formed by former drummer Anthony Martone and guitarist/vocalist Blake Harnage back when both members were in high school. Although the duo instantly experienced regional success selling out their first ever gig and gaining critical acclaim in their local music scene, it wasn’t until the band solidified their line-up—which currently includes guitarist Harnage and vocalist Sierra Kusterbeck—that things really started happening for this dedicated group of young adults.

Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan
Isobel Campbell is the former cellist and backup vocalist for Belle & Sebastian, as well as leader of The Gentle Waves. Mark Lanegan used to be the frontman of the Seattle grunge band The Screaming Trees, has recently played with Queens of the Stone Age, and formed together with Greg Dulli The Gutter Twins. Lanegan has also been releasing solo albums since 1990. Together, Campbell and Lanegan form a unique combination of gruff vocals and dulcet voices.
