The band began in 1985 as a solo project for ex-TYRUS guitarist Peter Hobbs, with the help of ex-Nothing Sacred members Mark Woolley (guitar), Sham (drums) and Karl Lean (bass), who recorded a number of demos which attracted interest from overseas labels. Hobbs' debut album, Hobbs Angel Of Death, was released in 1988 through German record label Steamhammer Records, and achieved a great deal of success in Europe.
Hailing from Geelong, Victoria, ‘Dawn of Retribution’ blends death metal and thrash metal with melodic overtones to create an uncompromising aural experience. Coupled with their crushing live performance, the band is quickly carving their reputation into Australia's metal scene. The band features members with a truckload of experience from various other projects including ‘Befallen’, ‘Intrepid’, ‘Veil of Anguish’, ‘Scale’ and ‘Dominaeon’. Combining these separate experiences and styles has helped forge a fresh perspective on metal with a crushing delivery.

A) A Boston Hardcore band who formed in 2000 featuring members of bands such as the Trouble, In My Eyes, American Nightmare, and the Explosion. They released two EPs for Bridge 9 Records.
