KillaQueenz

KillaQueenz are one of the most promising Hip Hop acts coming out of Australia right now. They are renowned for their high energy shows and unrivalled dedication to the art. Hailing from Uganda and Belize, Kween G and Belizean Bombshell draw inspiration from their respective homelands to bring a fresh sound to the Australian Hip Hop scene. The girls first met at the 2000 Olympic Games where they were individually performing and through a passion of Hip Hop music KillaQueenz was formed.

Kate Martin

As the daughter of working jazz musician parents, Kate Martin was always into music. At age 3, she taught herself how to play piano, mimicking the music she heard on TV; theme songs and advertising jingles. After this discovery, she then set about teaching herself any other instrument she could get her hands on and singing everything she heard. At 12, Kate was performing regularly in her father’s band, singing jazz standards in smoky bars.

Girl Vs Ghost

Girl Vs Ghost formed in 2006, but it wasn't until late 2008 when guitarist Tristan Waight was diagnosed with cancer that the band truly discovered who they are. Fresh from their very first self-funded east coast tour, Girl Vs Ghost battled through their toughest year as a band while Tristan battled his illness; all the while continuing to play constant shows, write new material and record demos for what eventually became their first official EP 'Eye For An Eye'.

Hurray For The Riff Raff

Hurray For the Riff Raff is currently a 4 piece folk band out of New Orleans, Louisiana. Alynda Lee leads the band with her all-star banjo skills and deep, aching voice. Walt McClements plays accordion, fiddle & toy piano, Aubrey Freeman plays double bass, and Shae Freeman plays the saw, autoharp & vocals. They sometimes collaborate with other local artists or long-time friends, including Brooklyn-based Amelia Jackie.

Wildbirds & Peacedrums

Wildbirds & Peacedrums are a contemporary experimental two piece hailing from Sweden consisting of singer Mariam Wallentin and drummer Andreas Werliin. Their 'instruments' consist of her powerful vocals and his unorthodox percussion/drumming, resulting in a powerful, innovative sound. Holly Kirby

Holly Kirby is a singer-songwriter and musician from the Isle of Wight, England. Her YouTube channel, alpet07, which she set up aged 16 in 2007, is frequently one of the most viewed musician's sites on YouTube in the UK. In the past year much of Holly's work has been an eclectic mix of Celtic, folk and pop music. Holly appeared as Enya in a popular British TV show ("Stars In Their Eyes Kids") in 2006, when she was 15, singing "Orinoco Flow" .

Melissa Etheridge

Melissa Etheridge (born May 29, 1961, in Leavenworth, Kansas) has produced eight albums since signing her first major recording contract in 1987. Three of them have gone multi-platinum: Melissa Etheridge (1988), Yes I Am (1993) and Your Little Secret (1996). Two others, Brave & Crazy (1989) and Never Enough (1992) went platinum, and Breakdown (1999) went gold. In 2007, her song "I Need to Wake Up" from the documentary An Inconvenient Truth took home an Academy Award for Best Song.

Santigold (born Santi White on September 25, 1976) is a musician, songwriter and producer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States who formerly went under the stage name Santogold. She is perhaps best known for the song L.E.S. Artistes which became a hit in the UK and on American alternative radio. According to Songfacts, she was originally nicknamed "Santogold" by a classmate back in the 1980s because of her sister-girl style.
