Queens of the Stone Age

Queens of the Stone Age is a hard rock band from Palm Desert, California. The band is frequently labeled stoner rock, although they reject the label. QOTSA developed a style of riff-oriented, heavy music which the band's founder and mastermind Josh Homme described as 'robot rock', saying that he "wanted to create a heavy sound based on a solid jam, just pound it into your head". Since then, their sound has evolved to incorporate a variety of different styles and influences.

Karma To Burn

Karma to Burn is an American instrumental stoner rock band. The band was formed in 1994, in Hicksville, West Virginia (actually Morgantown, West Virginia, though this was a running joke also reflected in bios of the band on other Web sites). The band is currently located in Los Angeles. Their instrumental album Almost Heathen is widely regarded as on par Kyuss' Welcome To Sky Valley and Monster Magnet's Spine of God, as one of the defining albums of the stoner rock genre, although the band themselves referred to their style as malternative.

Zeus

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) ZEUS was founded in 2003 by singer/actor/presenter/comedian Jeroen van Koningsbrugge, drummer Paul Jansen and guitarist Roy Jansen. Soon after, bass player Bob Gerritsen completed the band. The objective was clear and simple: to make heavy, groovy rock music the way it was meant since 1969. Influenced by Black Label Society, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Karma to Burn, Transport League, Goatsnake and the wave of nineties grunge and stoner, ZEUS developed their sound. Toby - one guitar Hotel Wrecking City Traders (HWCT) have been dislodging earwax, busting strings and sticks and blowing minds since 2007. HWCT are an instrumental noise rock duo with a heavy focus on improvisation and a love of loud volume and the psychedelic. Church of Misery

Church of Misery is a japanese doom metal band with a specific extra-groovy sound that is often described as "stoner doom" but the band tends to snub this term saying "We hate trend. We hate corporate attitude. We hate the word 'stoner'. Death to false stoners!! Let there be DOOM!!" (citation from the Master of Brutality album cover artwork notes).
Band was formed in 1996 in Tokyo by bassist Tatsu Mikami (ex-Salem) and guitarist Tomohiro Nishimura, line-up was completed with singer Nobukazu Chow and drummer Hideki Shimizu.

Hytest

Hytest - finest stoner punk from Wollongong, Australia (Michael Curley - guitar, Luke Armstrong - bass, Adam Rogan/Neil Matthews - drums) In 2004 they recorded and independently released their first self titled EP and after placing highly in Triple Js Unearthed competition, received light airplay for “The Party song” and “Dirty old men(need lovin' too)” on local and international radio. A second EP was soon to follow.
