Jesca Hoop

Jesca Ada Hoop is a American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Northern California, who performs music that covers differing genres. Her musical mentor has been Tom Waits. One of five children in a fifth generation Mormon couple, Hoop was steeped in a musical environment created by her family. She began performing as a child and starred in her high school choir. Hoop broke away from the strictures of Mormonism just as her parents were separating.

Delta Goodrem

Delta Lea Goodrem (born in Sydney on November 9, 1984) is a multi-ARIA Award-winning Australian singer-songwriter, classically-trained pianist and Logie Award-winning actress. She was launched into popularity starring as Nina Tucker on the popular television soap opera Neighbours. She has released four number one albums, Innocent Eyes, Mistaken Identity, Delta, and Wings of the Wild enjoying the second highest number of weeks for an Australian album in the #1 position in Australia and has had nine #1 singles in Australia. Her third album, Delta was released in October 2007, and features the singles In This Life and Believe Again. It was described by Delta herself as "a lot lighter", and a departure from the dark days of Mistaken Identity.

Goodrem has to date achieved nine #1 ARIA singles and multiple UK Top 10 singles. Her debut album, 2003's Innocent Eyes, made her one of Australia's highest-selling female recording artists, spending 29 weeks at #1, and selling over a million copies in Australia and 2.5 million worldwide. While 2004's Mistaken Identity was unable to match the commercial success of its predecessor, it entered the ARIA charts at #1 and gained multi-platinum status. To date, Goodrem has sold 3.5 million albums worldwide. In 2005, she embarked on The Visualise Tour, her debut concert tour of Australia.

In 2003, at the age of 18 and amidst her blooming career, Goodrem was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a form of cancer. She has since made a full recovery and now spends much of her time promoting cancer charities.

Goodrem was invited to write and sing the theme song of the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games. Named 'Together We Are One', the track was co-written with her ex, Brian McFadden and long-time collaborator Guy Chambers. 'Together We Are One' was not originally planned for release as a single, but due to Australian public demand, it was released and peaked at #2 on the official ARIA charts. She was later also invited to perform the theme for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, with "Welcome to Earth".

Ghostboy with Golden Virtues

Ghost Boy with Golden Virtues is a band based in Brisbane, Australia. They describe themselves as "avant-garde cabaret punk performance art." Their first album, Enter, was released in February 2010. The lead single “Wolfish” received multiple airplay on radio 4ZZZ, Triple J and Rage. The 2nd single from the album was "Love Me". It also included reworkings of Iggy Pop & Serge Gainsbourg songs. The songs and the music are unashamedly explicit and erotically charged.

Sandi Thom’s infamous debut single, I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (With Flowers In My Hair) topped the charts in 7 countries with the ensuing album shifting over a million copies worldwide and winning her an Ivor Novello award.
That was 2006.
After touring the UK & Europe with new Blues Powerhouse Joe Bonamassa in late 2009, opening for the likes of BB King and Steve Winwood, Sandi was inspired to explore deeper and more organic musical roots with her next record.

Regina Spektor

Regina Spektor was born on 18th February 1980, in Moscow, Russia, and moved to the United States when she was nine. Spektor studied classical piano from the age of six, practising on a Petrof piano given to her mother by her grandfather. She was also exposed to the music of rock and roll bands such as The Beatles, Queen, and The Moody Blues by her father, who obtained such recordings in Eastern Europe and traded cassettes with friends in the Soviet Union.

Janet Seidel

For her sixth release, Australian singer Janet Seidel continues to mine gems from the huge lode of popular music, this time focusing on tunes with a Gallic bent. Several of the tunes on the play list have a French origin, such as "A Man and a Woman" from the 1966 classic French film of the same name and "I Will Wait for You" from the soundtrack to The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. Virtually all of these, including the American pop tunes, are sung in French (like a native) and English. For those who need translating help, the lyrics are printed in both languages in the liner notes.

Sara Bareilles

Sara Beth Bareilles (born December 7, 1979) is a Grammy-nominated American singer-songwriter and pianist. Bareilles was born and raised in Eureka, California, United States. After graduating from UCLA in 2002, Bareilles performed at local bars and clubs. She issued two demos of mostly live tracks in 2003: The First One in April and The Summer Sessions in October. In January 2004, Bareilles released her first studio album, Careful Confessions.

Born in Cambridge, England in1948, the youngest child of Professor Brin Newton-John and Irene, daughter of Nobel Prize winning physicist, Max Born, Olivia moved to Melbourne, Australia with her family when she was five. By the age of fifteen, she had formed an all-girl group called Sol Four. Later that year she won a talent contest on the popular TV show, “Sing, Sing, Sing,” which earned her a trip to London.

Kelendria Trene Rowland (born February 11, 1981) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, and five-time Grammy award winner who rose to fame as one of the founding members of the very successful R&B girl group Destiny's Child. After a series of commercially successful releases with the group and a worldwide number-one success with rapper Nelly and their Grammy-winning single "Dilemma", Rowland released her debut solo album Simply Deep in 2002.
