Fangs of a TV Evangelist

Commercially ignorant Power Trio, even a "supergroup" (is that term still cool?). Based out of Melbourne featuring Jace (Pigman Vampire/Bikini Eyebolt/etc.) on Guitar/Vox, Mikey (Brain resin) on Bass and Jem (Fire Witch/Inappropriate Tough Guy behaviour etc.) on Drums. With each new album comes a name change and more confusion.
Criminally ignored band with a high output of great music.

Tortoise

Tortoise's almost entirely instrumental music defies easy categorization. The group gained significant attention from their early career. The members have roots in Chicago's fertile music scene, playing in various indie rock and punk groups. Tortoise was among the first American indie rock bands to incorporate styles closer to krautrock, dub, minimalism, electronica and various jazz styles, rather than the standard rock and roll and punk that had dominated indie rock for years.

Revere

London (UK) band REVERE incorporate violin, cello, keys, trumpet and harp into a guitar-led sound, touching on numerous musical reference points, combining elements of gypsy marches, klezmer, post rock, film scores and gospel into a truly unique sound. Live, REVERE play with an unparalleled intensity, working songs from music-box soft openings into relentless walls of sound shot through with a show-stopping falsetto. --------------------------- "An extraordinary widescreen technicolor epic of a song...a stunning single by a stunning band..."

M83

M83 is the electronic music project of the French artist Anthony Gonzalez. He and former member Nicolas Fromageau founded the group in 2001 in Antibes, France. M83's style owes a lot to the shoegaze genre, in that there is much emphasis on tonality, extensive use of reverb effects and often softly-spoken lyrics at times submerged in instrumentation. M83 was named after the spiral galaxy "Messier 83".
