Andy Rantzen

Andrew Rantzen is a Sydney-based lo-fi electronic recording artist and writer. Trained as a psychologist, he has been lecturer and tutor at the University of Sydney. He is most well-known as part of the duo Itch-E and Scratch-E along with Paul Mac (Boo Boo & Mace is another alias for the same duo). He has produced remixes for Severed Heads, INXS and The Wiggles, and has done soundtrack work for the film Sample People. He also records with the Pelican Daughters. In 2001 he released his first solo LP, Blue Hour.

Tim Minchin

Tim Minchin (born 1975) is an Australian comedian, actor, composer, songwriter, pianist, musical director and a self proclaimed rock 'n' roll megastar. He was born in Northampton, England, and grew up in Perth, Western Australia. He attended UWA (University of Western Australia) before launching onto the world stage at the 2005 Edinburgh Fringe Festival by winning the Best Newcomer Perrier Comedy Award.

Lynchmada

Lynchmada have made quite a name for themselves in a rather short period of time - along the way landing supports for some of the biggest and best bands Australia has to offer. 2002 saw the formation of the band and subsequent release of their debut two-track single Stress Therapy (produced by Dave Leonard of Modern Music - The Butterfly Effect & Devolved). Not too long after the positive feedback came flowing in the band found themselves signed to Ward69 Records and got to work on their EP.

Sydney’s DEEP SEA ARCADE’s reverberated pop recalls Portishead and The Zombies yet with a character and charm that is undeniably unique. Jess Harlen

Now arrives Jess Harlen, a taste of soul, urban roots, lyrical stylings and poetic incision. This songstress hails from the rolling hills and coastlines of New Zealand and is of Ngati Porou and Nga Puhi decent. Moving to Australia with her family at a young age, Jess spent her school years growing up in Brisbane where she began singing and was taught to play the guitar by her family. Redial is an Australian electro act from Sydney. He is fast becoming one of Sydney's most sought after musicians with his productions and remixes being showered with a frightening amount of attention and distinction. In the space of a few weeks Redial has played alongside the likes of Danger and D.I.M. Not to mention having already found himself completely blowing the crowd away at Future, one of Sydney's biggest music festivals.

Samsara

There are at least 10 artists with this name: 1) Samsara is a small Indie/Noise band from Freiburg, Germany. In its current constellation "Samsara or the breakdown of everything that might have been real" exists since November 2005. They compose music you might call "Indie-Noise". In addition, they are not a cover band, never were, never will be.

Philadelphia Grand Jury

Philadelphia Grand Jury has always been two friends: Berkfinger and MC Bad Genius. Previously knowing each other for some 20 years Berkfinger hadn't seen Bad Genius for going on 6 years when one day the curious bearded fellow just strolled into one of his solo shows with a bass and plugged himself right back into the singer's life. These two childhood buddies since had a rotating ensemble of drummers – until recently.

Parades

Parades are a young art rock band from Sydney who wisely choose to create their own music with no outside input or interference. Featuring Dan Cunningham, Tim Jenkins, Michael Scarpin and Jonathan Boulet – Parades’ debut album Foreign Tapes is out now via Dot Dash Recordings.
