Quiet Child

Quiet Child are a four piece alternative rock band from Adelaide, South Australia, consisting of Paul on drums, Jason on guitar, Pete on vocals and guitar and Brent on bass. Their music ranges from two minute blasts of furious riff filled rock, to long, grandiose epics propelled by major dynamic shifts and melodic and rhythmic complexities. Quiet Child released their self titled debut e.p. in early 2007.

New Skinn

NEW SKINN are a Melbourne based hard rock band who were formed by drummer Anthony (Xman) and ex guitarist Leigh in 2002. NEW SKINN was later joined by ex ‘Against the grain’ bassist/b.vocalist Chris aka ‘Greekman’ and ex ‘Next of Kinn’ lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Phil G. And now recently, Joe Greco takes the reins on lead guitar! NEW SKINN have been categorised with bands such as Butterfly Effect, Karnivool, Pearl Jam and many others, however the four piece say that they just sound like NEW SKINN.

Layla

Layla is a by-product of the seemingly endless talent flowing from the West Australian music scene. As a lyricist, poet and pen smith Layla does not ever mince words. Her effortless delivery and strong emphasis on subject matter have become a trademark of her sound. Layla is also the name of the Slovak rising pop singer and dancer. Her own name is Kristína Tranová. Layla is also the name of an all-female visual kei band founded by two of the members from the disbanded Necro Circus. They will release their first single called on 2007'12'01.

Xavier Rudd

Xavier Rudd (born 1978) is a soulful Australian surf/roots artist from Torquay, Victoria, which is near the famous surfing location, Bells Beach. Rudd's music is compassionate and always manages to render emotion in his fans. His songs include stories of the mistreatment of the indigenous people of his homeland; they tell of humanity, spirituality or the environment. The songs are written and sung with compassion and they urge the celebration of life.

Emerging from the edge of the Rubicon River, Tasmania (AUS), Lyke Giants have quickly been making a name for themselves since the release of their first; self titled EP at the end of 2010, for which they collaborated with
Aria award-winning producer Paul McKercher (Sarah Blasko, Eskimo Joe, Pete Murray, The Living End, You am I).
Defining their music is challenging as they meld multiple genres and create their own brew of Indie Rock/Pop, intertwining semi-hectic rhythms, flowing vocals and layered atmospheric instrumentation.

They are notable for being associated with the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. The band spent the first time after having formed writing material and rehearsing.

Bane of isildur

Hailing from the burning southern lands of Australia comes Bane of Isildur, furiously brandishing their own brand of Triumphant War Metal. Taking their name from the subject of so many glorious battles in J.R.R Tolkiens master piece, Bane of Isildur has moved from strength to strength with a sold out debut EP, a demo out in 2009 and full-length album due for release in 2010. Uniquely, Bane of Isildur's performance remains technical and melodic while remaining full of a fury rarely seen in today's age of heavy metal.

Segression

Segression was a heavy metal band from Wollongong, Australia. Originally known as Eezee and playing sleaze metal, the group decided to change its name after moving into in a thrash direction in mid-1994. As Eezee, the band had recorded an EP in 1993 and the 1995 album Rise From Darkness. The group had also played support shows with Morbid Angel, Machine Head and Deicide. The line-up at this time was Christiaan Rand (bass, vocals), Chris Sellin (guitar), James Broadbent (guitar) and John Buckley (drums).

Wolfmother

Wolfmother is a Grammy Award-winning hard rock band formed in Sydney, New South Wales in 2000. The band originally consisted of Andrew Stockdale (guitar, vocals), Chris Ross (bass, keyboards), and Myles Heskett (drums), though Ross and Heskett left the band in August 2008. With the original line up Wolfmother released one album, Wolfmother, and six singles, the highest-charting of which was "Joker and the Thief" which reached number eight in Australia.

In 2004 Wolfmother began appearing at several high profile music events, such as Homebake and the Big Day Out. They also released their debut self-titled EP through Modular Recordings.

In 2005 the band made their way to Los Angeles, working alongside producer Dave Sardy (of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Marilyn Manson, and Oasis fame) to record their self-titled debut album, released in October 2005.

In 2006 Wolfmother dominated the Australian Recording Industry Association awards (ARIAs), taking Best Breakthrough Album, Best Rock Album, and Best Group.

In August 2008, after headlining the Splendour in the Grass festival in Byron Bay, Australia, bass/keyboard player Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett resigned, leaving just singer/guitarist Andrew Stockdale. Andrew planned to find new musicians before recording another album.

From February 2009 the new line up appeared in two secret gigs under the name Whitefeather. The band officially consists of Dave Atkins on drums, Ian Peres on bass and organ, and Aidan Nemeth as the surprise fourth member and a new guitarist. The new line up's first album, Cosmic Egg, was released in 2009.

Now drummer Dave Atkins has decided to leave the band to spend more time at home with his family; he will be temporarily be replaced by The Mooney Suzuki and Har Mar Superstar drummer Will Rockwell-Scott.
