Anika Moa

Anika Moa (born 21st May 1980) is a singer-songwriter from Christchurch, New Zealand. While still at school in Christchurch, Moa entered the 'Smokefree Rockquest'.
She received a record deal with Warner Music in New Zealand and Atlantic Records in New York. The record company had big commercialized plans for her - which conflicted with her brash down-to-earth personality. Overall Moa did not enjoy her time in America and returned to base herself in New Zealand. Her first album was released in 2001.

Kristeen Young

KRISTEENYOUNG is a piano/keyboard and drums "rock" duo, in the golden years sense of the word, when rock was simultaneously adventurous, original, scary and fun. The pair is made up of singer, writer, pianist/keyboardist, Kristeen Young and drummer "Baby" Jeff White. Kristeen's distinctive voice has been heralded, by many, as the best new voice in rock. She bashes, slams and bangs her piano/keyboard in a rock-riff manner, while running it through effects pedals to make it sound like a cross between a piano and guitar.

Chris Fatouros

Chris Fatouros (born 1983) is a singer-guitarist-song writer from Melbourne, Australia. Performing and singing since childhood, Fatouros's main interest had always been classic rock & folk. He is known for his raw and soulful performance style, strong vocals and multi-instrumental skills. Fatouros's music is strongly influenced by a wide variety of artists, such as Crosby, Stills & Nash, Gillian Welch and Neil Young. Aside from solo work, Chris has performed with original band SoulHarmoniX, with cover band Mister Speaker, in a jazz duo with a pianist and in a duo with a percussionist.

Jason Lytle

Jason Lytle (b. March 26, 1969) fronted Modesto, California based indie rock outfit Grandaddy, which split up in 2006. He was the sole songwriter in the band, and he sang and played most of the instruments on the albums. Live he handled vocals, guitars and keyboards and synths. He has continued as a solo artist after the end of Grandaddy, so far only playing Grandaddy material at a handful of solo shows.

Laura Imbruglia

Quirky, punk/folk musician from the suburban Central Coast, just north of Sydney, Australia, an area that continues to provide a setting for some of her tart, witty lyrics. Laura Imbruglia performs both as a solo act and with a band. She is also the younger sister of Natalie Imbruglia. Yahoo! we're compatible.), Imbruglia has been active since releasing an EP with Mr Hollow Body back in 2003, titled It Makes a Crunchy Noise.

Holly Throsby

Holly Throsby is a singer-songwriter originally from Sydney, Australia but currently based in London. Holly's songs are mostly set at night, and are built around finger-picked guitar and her distinctive, fragile voice. The arrangements, which incorporate double bass, piano accordion, melodian, clarinet and the barest of vocal recordings, are both delicate and painterly. She has released three full length albums- On Night in 2004, Under The Town in 2006 and A Loud Call in 2008. She was nominated for an ARIA award in 2006 for Best Female.

William Tell

Southern California native William Tell is the former rhythm guitarist for the band Something Corporate. In 2007, he released his first solo album, You Can Hold Me Down. The record produced a few popular songs including "Slipping Under (Sing Along To Your Favorite Song)", "Fairfax (You're Still The Same)" (featuring former bandmate Andrew McMahon of Something Corporate), "Sounds" and "Young At Heart" and even charted to #11 on the Top Heatseekers. Since the release of his debut album, Tell has released several demos for download on his MySpace page.

Jim Ward

He is the former lead singer/guitarist of the post-hardcore band, Sparta, which is currently on an indefinite hiatus. Ward is also founding member and lead singer of Sleepercar. He was formerly the guitarist/backup vocalist in the post-hardcore band At The Drive-In.

Alan Jackson

Alan Jackson (born October 17, 1958) is an American country singer-songwriter who has sold over 50 million records. He was influenced by the new traditional country of the 1980s, and he was one of the most popular country singers of the 1990s, blending both honky tonk and mainstream country sounds and penning many of his own hits. His success continued into the 2000s and his music became increasingly counterposed with that of more mainstream country acts that were moving toward a more pop music sound.
