Little Bushman

The Onus Of Sand is the highly anticipated debut album from Warren Maxwell's rockin' heavy blues band Little Bushman (from New Zeland). Warren Maxwell, formally lead singer with NZ band Trinityroots, is masterfully navigating his new band Little Bushman through the deep waters of 60s/70s style Blues tinged Psych Rock (with heavy nods towards Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and The Who), all the while keeping it aimed directly at the heart of the New Zealand roots sound he helped pioneer.

Hollie Smith

Hollie Smith (born 1983) is a female soul singer from New Zealand. In 1999, as a 16 year old, Smith recorded her album Light From a Distant Shore after winning Best Female Vocalist at the National Jazz Festival of New Zealand. The album of Celtic music was produced by her stepfather who was a well-known musician in New Zealand. In 2003, Smith moved to Wellington (New Zealand) singing with Trinityroots. She recorded an album Home, Land and Sea and toured with the band.

SIX60

Bonding over a shared love of NZ music and passion for making their own, Six60 formed after meeting at a Kora concert in 2006. Three members flatted together as Otago Uni students, spending countless hours in their recording studio (Eli's room) at number 660 on notorious Castle St.

Anika Moa

Anika Moa (born 21st May 1980) is a singer-songwriter from Christchurch, New Zealand. While still at school in Christchurch, Moa entered the 'Smokefree Rockquest'.
She received a record deal with Warner Music in New Zealand and Atlantic Records in New York. The record company had big commercialized plans for her - which conflicted with her brash down-to-earth personality. Overall Moa did not enjoy her time in America and returned to base herself in New Zealand. Her first album was released in 2001.

Evermore is an indie rock/alternative band originally from Feilding, New Zealand and now based in Melbourne, Australia. They formed in 1999. What happens when dreams become real life? The three Hume brothers of Evermore have come a long way since the release of their debut album Dreams. With over 300 live shows, an MTV Award, a NZ Music Award, the APRA Silver Scroll, five ARIA nominations, and hung a platinum record plaque on the wall of their home studio. It's a far cry from their humble beginnings in rural New Zealand, and it all culminates in their second album, Real Life.
