Lakyn Heperi is a semi-pro skateboarder who transformed into a singer/songwriter after a broken ankle kept him off his board for 8 months. Lakyn started playing every day, not because he was aiming for anything in particular, but because it allowed him to express his frustration after the accident.
He recorded his music in his bedroom and put it up online and is now a YouTube sensation with tens of thousands of followers.
From May 2009 to April 2010, Michael Mills’ ‘Toehider’ project will release one 6-song digital EP per month, for 12 months. Each release will be accompanied by a 2 page comic illustrated by Andrew ‘Salty’ Saltmarsh. From day one it’s been clear that In Fiction has been destined for big things. Formed in 2005, the five young lads from Adelaide have taken next to no time to build a solid reputation in their hometown. From sold out shows in some of the towns larger rooms, to stealing the crowd (and adoration from fans that knew every word) on supports of big International and National artists, they quickly became the band to keep an eye on in Adelaide.
PHARAOHS died, LEADER CHEETAH was born. That's the basics. Dan Crannitch spent the last few months of '06 writing and recording melodies to his mobile phone. Around New Years he assembled this ragtag bunch of misfits – showed them the sonics and LEADER CHEETAH started taking shape. Younger brother Joel on drums, ex-BAD GIRLS OF THE BIBLE frontman Dan Pash on guitar and childhood friend Mark Harding on bass.
Droplet formed in Hobart, Tasmania in the wake of the group Ocean who disbanded in 1993. Quickly establishing their indie-pop leanings but with a harder edge live, they were often likened to Lush, The Pixies, The Cranberries and My Bloody Valentine.

Sydney band Charge Group formed around 2005 and currently comprises three members of the now-defunct Newcastle outfit Purplene - vocalist/guitarist Matt Blackman (also of Tucker Bs), bassist Adam Jesson (The Instant), and drummer Matt Rossetti (The Instant).
