Sparkadia

Sparkadia is an alternative rock band based in Australia. The band formed in Sydney, Australia, in 2004 and currently comprises lead vocalist and guitarist Alex Burnett, keyboardist, guitarist and vocalist Tiffany Preece, bassist and vocalist Nick Rabone and drummer David Hall. The band found commercial success when their debut album Postcards peaked at #23 on the ARIA albums chart. The band formed in Annandale, Sydney, in 2004.

Red Jezebel

Perth based Red Jezebel formed in 1997, taking their name from a code-word utilised in a local supermarket chain, the original four-piece consisting of Paul Wood (Vocals & Guitar), Chris Hayes (Guitar), Mark Cruickshank (Bass) & Alex Hyman (Drums). In November 2004 the band parted on good terms with a newly-wed Chris Hayes and guitar duties were taken on by WAMI award-winning producer Dave Parkin (Snowman, Bob Evans, The Panda Band, The Exploders).

Tumbleweed

Tumbleweed is firstly a highly influential Australian rock band from the 90's, a country rock band from Norway and a bonecrushing instro/surf band from Sweden. Tumbleweed (Australia) filled the stoner-rock void in Australia during the heavy grunge years of the 1990s. As the opening band for Nirvana on their 1992 tour of Australia, Tumbleweed was able to reach out into the mainstream with their crunchy-psychedelica and the subtle vocal stylings of singer Richie Lewis.

Jodi Martin

Jodi Martin started writing songs when she was five. Noticing this trend, her Mum loaned Jodi her tape recorder. At five, this was a momentous event and confirmed Jodi’s obsession with songwriting forever. Jodi met Kasey Chambers and the Chambers family when she was sixteen. The following year, Kasey recorded Jodi’s song ‘Why’ for the Dead Ringer Band’s album ‘Homefires’ which took out Australia’s premier music awards, winning an ARIA Award the following year for Best Country Album.

Bane of isildur

Hailing from the burning southern lands of Australia comes Bane of Isildur, furiously brandishing their own brand of Triumphant War Metal. Taking their name from the subject of so many glorious battles in J.R.R Tolkiens master piece, Bane of Isildur has moved from strength to strength with a sold out debut EP, a demo out in 2009 and full-length album due for release in 2010. Uniquely, Bane of Isildur's performance remains technical and melodic while remaining full of a fury rarely seen in today's age of heavy metal.

Vomitor

Vomitor are a death/thrash metal band from Brisbane, Australia, formed in 1999. The trio typically explores themes such as Satan, death, and nuclear terror. To date, Vomitor have two full length albums, 'Bleeding the Priest', which was released in 2002, and 'Devils Poison' which was released in 2010.

Chasm

There are more than one artist named Chasm, one an Australian hip hop DJ, another a technical death metal group from Scotland, the third a Norwegian alternative rock band, the fourth is a pseudonym of Robert Hampson, who records as Main. . 1) Chasm the DJ is heavily influenced and inspired by soul, roots, reggae and jazz music; all of which is highly evident in the construction of his unique production that results in Chasm bringing a distinctive flavour to Australian hip hop.

Violent Soho

Violent Soho are a four piece band from Mansfield, Brisbane. Band members Luke Boerdam, James Tidswell, Luke Henry and Michael Richards attended school together. Their debut EP, Pigs and T.V., was released in early 2006 and recieved wide acclaim; 'Blunt Magazine' hailing Violent Soho's Vines-esque sound as "boisterous pop rock reviving the spirit of the grunge era". Recently joining The Grates on a national tour and playing local 4zzz festival Market Day, Violent Soho have burst onto the Brisbane music scene, offering a raw yet fresh element to the already rich musical tapestry of the city.
