DevilDriver

DevilDriver is a metal band from California, United States that formed in 2002. The group was started by Dez Fafara, formerly of the band Coal Chamber, as a result of frustrations stemming from the more mainstream direction his former band mates were attempting to take their music. After the demise of Coal Chamber, DevilDriver became his main focus. Their debut album, the self-titled "DevilDriver", was released on October 23, 2003 under Roadrunner Records.

The Dillinger Escape Plan

The Dillinger Escape Plan is a band from Morris Plains, New Jersey. The band performs a fast-tempo, technically proficient style of heavy music popularly known as mathcore. The band recorded their second EP with Relapse Records in 1998 entitled Under The Running Board. A year later, this was followed with the album Calculating Infinity, which was met with great acclaim from both underground and mainstream press.

Protest The Hero

Protest the Hero is a band from Whitby, Ontario. Formed in 1999, when they were just 14 years old, they originally used the name Happy Go Lucky, but changed their name before releasing their first EP, A Calculated Use of Sound, to Protest the Hero. This was followed by the release of their first full length, Kezia, on the indie label Underground Operations. On January 23, 2006 the band officially signed with Vagrant Records for Kezia's United States release.

Sons Of Abraham

There are at least 2 artists named Sons Of Abraham. 1. Sons Of Abraham were a five piece hardcore band from Long Island, New York. They released one demo, a split EP with Indecision, and CD/LP titled Termites In His Smile. They disbanded in 1998, as guitarists Justin Beck and Todd Weinstock decided to pursue their other band, Glassjaw.
2. Sons Of Abraham are a rock band from Melbourne, Australia. They have released one EP in 2008 titled "The Pushing Foreword".

Her Nightmare

Forming in 2003 this five piece Melbourne band stands strongly under the banner of Australian Hardcore, yet are proud to acknowledge their obvious metal influences. Massive vocals, brutal guitars and a relentless intensity have seen them successfully travel the nation many times with bands like Parkway Drive, Comeback Kid, Most Precious Blood, 50 Lions, Jungle Fever and Terror. In 2005 came the release of their first full length album “No Heaven, No Hell” on Sydney independent label Resist Records.

Shadows Fall

Shadows Fall formed in 1996 in Springfield, Massachusetts and rose up as a prominent member of the bustling Massachusetts metal and hardcore scene that has recently produced bands such as Killswitch Engage, All That Remains, and Unearth. Guitar duo Jonathan Donais and Matt Bachand got together in '96 and had the original lineup complete within a year. These members were vocalist Philip Labonte, now with All That Remains, bass player Paul Romanko, and drummer David Germain.

With their past two releases, they have changed their style from hardcore to a more metal direction. 2) Throwdown is a <a href="http://www.last.fm/tag/heavy%20metal" class="bbcode_tag" rel="tag">heavy metal</a> band from Texas. 3) Throwdown is a <a href="http://www.last.fm/tag/hardcore" class="bbcode_tag" rel="tag">hardcore</a> band from the Sydney suburb, Cronulla, who are featured in many bodyboarding videos put out by underground tapes.

Hatebreed

Hatebreed are a metallic hardcore band from Bridgeport and New Haven, Connecticut. The band was founded in November 1994 by Jamey Jasta, Dave Russo, Larry Dwyer, and Chris Beattie. Hatebreed's sound can be classified as metallic hardcore, they are influenced by death and groove metal and their sound has heavily influenced many modern metalcore, hardcore and crossover bands. They began by recording a three song demo and selling it to locals.

Heaven Shall Burn

Heaven Shall Burn was formed in autumn 1996, under the name 'Consense'. With the recording of their second demo in early 1997 the band changed their name to 'Heaven Shall Burn'. The name is taken from a Marduk album titled "Heaven Shall Burn... When We Are Gathered". In an interview with the band at decoymusic.com, the band said: "It’s not that we’re huge Marduk fans, but we liked the name. It sounds a bit provoking and so people ask us again and again for the meaning behind our name. It has been like that since the very beginning.
