Antagonist is back with a new album and new name: Antagonist A.D. ElevenfiftySeven is proud to be releasing the new full length album We Are The Dead on the 6th of October in both New Zealand and Australia via Melbourne label Trial & Error. Antagonist A.D formed in late 2004 but after trading members & gaining direction a new redux saw the light in 2005. 2005 was a dark year for New Zealand hardcore with prominent bands breaking up, crucial venues being lost & key promoters bowing out. Snakepit

Snakepit are a hardcore punk band based in Toronto, Ontario, though their guitarist is a native of Japan. They are well known for their explosive stage presence and having very wild live shows. Only active for one short year (2009-2010) they accomplished a remarkable amount in that limited time. 25+ local area shows, 2 dates in the USA as well as an extremely successful week-long tour in Japan with some of the countries biggest bands(Aggressive Dogs, Vivisick and others).

Cancer Bats

Cancer Bats are a 4 piece hardcore punk / metal band who have come to destroy. Fueled by a burning desire to rage harder, play louder and have more fun than any other band, Cancer Bats mix hardcore, southern metal, and punk rock into a lethal rock and roll explosion. The band originated in May of 2004 with singer Liam Cormier and guitarist Scott Middleton, former member of Toronto metal band At The Mercy Of Inspiration.

Heavy Heavy Low Low

San Jose, California based HeavyHeavyLowLow was formed in 2004, and gained notoriety largely through word of mouth, internet hype and extensive touring. The quintet consisted of vocalist Robbie Smith, guitarists Ryan Madden and Danny Rankin, and brothers Chris and Andrew Fritter (drums and bass, respectively). Their album "Everything's Watched, Everyone's Watching", an eleven song session of metal/thrash/hardcore/grindcore recordings, was released on New Weathermen records, an imprint of Ferret, in September of 2006.

Backlash

There are more than one band with the name Backlash. 1) Formed in Lidkoping, Sweden in 1998 by three talented young men, Backlash now (2k6-08) two albums and a few Eps later stands at the frontier of Swedish electronic music. The combination of Niklas' sensitive compositions, Oskar's battering sound engineering and Erik's brute force of singing creates a new hard electronic sound that few others has manage to create. Music in the borderlands of minimalistic techno and electro-pop.

Marathon

There are numerous bands past and present, with the name Marathon: Present: 1. Marathon are a band from Brisbane, Australia. They play a mixture of '90s influenced metal/hardcore, abrasive noise-rock (Albini, Denison, etc) and modern American and Canadian crust. 2. Marathon are an indie rock band from South East England. They released their debut single "300 Miles" in March 2010. Past: 1. Marathon was a melodic punk band from various parts of upstate New York, formed from the ashes of bands such as Standfast, De La Hoya, and Building On Fire.
