Melissa Etheridge

Melissa Etheridge (born May 29, 1961, in Leavenworth, Kansas) has produced eight albums since signing her first major recording contract in 1987. Three of them have gone multi-platinum: Melissa Etheridge (1988), Yes I Am (1993) and Your Little Secret (1996). Two others, Brave & Crazy (1989) and Never Enough (1992) went platinum, and Breakdown (1999) went gold. In 2007, her song "I Need to Wake Up" from the documentary An Inconvenient Truth took home an Academy Award for Best Song.

Grand Salvo

Grand Salvo is Paddy Mann - a musician from Melbourne who has been performing and recording albums for around a decade. He has produced five albums which have received critical acclaim, one of his albums is titled "Soil Creatures". "Death", released March 15, 2008, through Spunk Records, in association with Preservation, is an 'animal' concept album that focuses on a "bird, a rabbit, a rat, a bear and a man all telling their own tale, coming together to weave a fairytale," and features vocalist Zoe Randell.

Emily Barker

Emily Barker is an award-winning singer-songwriter, best known as the writer and performer of the theme to the BBC's hugely successful crime drama Wallander starring Kenneth Branagh. She has released music as a solo artist as well as with various bands including The Red Clay Halo, Vena Portae and Applewood Road (with whom she released a remarkable album of original songs recorded live around a single microphone, dubbed “flawless” by The Sunday Times) and has written for film, including composing the soundtrack for Jake Gavin’s lauded debut feature Hector starring Peter Mullan and Keith Allen.

Keb' Mo'

Keb' Mo' (born October 3, 1951 in South Los Angeles, California as Kevin Moore) is an American blues singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He first started recording in the early 1970s with Jefferson Airplane violinist
Papa John Creach. Creach hired him when Moore was just twenty-one years old; Moore appeared on four of Creach's albums. He was further immersed in the blues with his long stint in the Whodunit Band, headed by Bobby "Blue" Bland producer Monk Higgins. Moore jammed with Albert Collins and Big Joe Turner.

Elvis Costello

Declan Patrick MacManus was born 25th August 1954, in St Mary's Hospital, Paddington in London. He is the son of trumpeter, vocalist and bandleader Ronald (“Ross”) MacManus and record store manager Lillian Costello. His family had roots in Merseyside and he moved to Birkenhead at age 16, with his mother, when his parents separated. He is better known by the name Elvis Costello - a stage name suggested by Stiff Records manager Jake Riviera - but has used many other aliases including The Imposter and Napoleon Dynamite*.

Jason Simon

As the voice of the celebrated psychedelic trio Dead Meadow since 1998, Jason Simon has helped craft many captivating, hook-laden songs while the band has enjoyed a successful, highly regarded decade-plus career. AA Bondy

Coming from Birmingham, Alabama. Ex-Verbena frontman toned down his sound in recent years after Verbena disbanded.
The guitars may be mostly acoustic these days, but the southern drawl and honest lyric and songwriting style still shine through. It seems Bondy has found another perfect style for his raspy voice, the acoustic blues akin to Rolling Stones ballads or Bob Dylan.
He recently married into the Felice family--of Felice Brothers fame--and sometimes tours with The Felice Brothers, performing both as an opening act and as an auxiliary guitar player.

Keith Urban

Keith Lionel Urban was born in Whangarei, North Island, New Zealand (on 26 October, 1967). Before he turned two years old his family moved to Australia. By age seven, Urban was already thinking about emigrating to America and making his mark in Nashville. Urban began to learn the guitar at age six and began winning talent contests at age eight. By twelve he was booking his band in local clubs, and at fifteen he quit school to hit the road.

Gordon Matthew Sumner, 2 Oct 1951, in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK), is a distinguished English solo musician & former lead-singer / principal-composer / bassist of, 1970s/80s rock band, The Police. Sumner was born in Wallsend, near Newcastle, to Audrey Cowell and her husband, Ernest Sumner. He is the eldest of four children and has a brother, Philip, and two sisters, Angela and Anita. His father managed a dairy, and as a boy Sumner would often assist him with the early morning milk delivery rounds.
