Grim Demise

Grim Demise are a thrash metal band based in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. The band was formed by two ex-members of the now defunct band Seventh Eve, Richard and Luke (Pendo). They decided to leave because as the band's main songwriters they had begun to write material that, according to the other members, did not fit in with the band's melodic sound. Shortly after their departure, they began the search for a bassist.

Dreamkillers

1990 was the year Dreamkillers busted their way onto the Aussie underground scene via the culmination of two local Brisbane punk outfits; “Mystery of Sixes” and “Insane Hombres”. The name Dreamkillers came after a conversation regarding the 1957 Williams Burrows classic, The Red Planet, where he refers to the “dream killers”. Disillusioned with the inferior commercial offerings of the time, Dreamkillers soon channelled this angst into a raunchy punk-inspired, hardrock / heavy-metal tour-de-force that became their trademark sound.

Aleks and the Ramps

Aleks and the Ramps are a Melbourne five-piece, spilling out a stew of surreal, banjo-driven indie-pop - with hints of psychedelia, doo-wop and even bossa nova. Led by Aleks' banjo and his acerbic lyrics, the crew is filled out by bassist Denim Owl, guitarist Flying Simon, and musical nomad Extreme Wheeze (who roams about the stage, playing any instrument in his path). The band, mid-2007, also included dancing drummer Captain Rad - who moved to Perth, leaving a vacancy, which was filled by Black Wasp.
